SOURCE: mitsubishi wd-62825 dlp

The WD62825 has a Digital Module located on the left side of the chassis looking at it from the rear of the set. It's housed in a metal box that can slide out of its holder after removing the trim screws.
The module has its own power supply board and there are a group of 16v/1000uf caps on that board which commonly fail causing the constant flashing standby light. Further back on the module is a small board about the size of a matchbook called the E2P module. Its SMT (Surface Mount Technology) caps also commonly fail which can cause the same symptoms. Techs can tell whether the E2P has failed by simply removing it, hooking the DM back up and trying to power the set. If it powers on the picture won't be much good - but at least you can tell what's keeping it down...
Back to the caps on the pwr board. If they've failed they usually will buldge visibly on top. And ESR is almost not necessary. In any event that's the nuts and bolts on this model.
Is it a job for a layman? Yes and no - you might strongly consider a tech if you don't feel comfortable removing all the connections that the DM has with the signal board. There are about six - multi-pin - wired connections to unplug and then sliding the DM out of the unit and carefully removing the screws and latching to take the DM top cover off...
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: mitsubishi DLP overheating

Mitsubishi has problems with the thermal sensor going bad. They extended the warranty for several sets. The sensor is right by the lamp. Call mitsubishi and insist they do something for you. If you keep playing your set, the bulb could also be at risk. I would think your set is covered being a 62" set. Good-luck and be sure to act ASAP.

SOURCE: Buzzing noise from Mitsubishi DLP WD-52327 after replacing bulb

Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-73732 TV

It could be a bad lamp but I've run into many of these TVs with bad color wheel assemblies. Also, if you are getting a dialog box coming up with these words," airflow blocked, TV will shutdown ..." that's a defective thermal fuse.

This is a job for a mitsubishi authorized service center. A tech can disassemble the light engine and confirm that the wheel is the problem. If you're still in warranty, great. If you're only recently out of warranty, call mitsubishi for assistance. Remember that persistance pays off when dealing with large corporations. You very seldom get what you're looking for on the first call or from the first person you speak to.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-52525 52-inch DLP HDTV ywllow warning lamp light

that means your lamp it is getting to the end of its life.
sometimes even if the lamp still good the TV will send you that message because that timer is closed to 5000 hours

What you can do is open the lamp door, closed again and the tv will ask you if you replaced it the lamp, and just say yes and that sign will go away

or just simple replace the lamp. 915P020010

How do i change my fornat/resolution on my model wd-82738 tv

See page 6 (this is a display & basic explanation of your transmitter) of the owners manual http://mitsubishi-tv.com/asset/file/basic_owners_guide/738-838_BIB_v3.pdf
there is a format button on you remote transmitter. If you have other format issues it is probably your source & not the TV. You may have to change the source format in which case you will need that mfr. operating manual.

Mitsubishi tv wd-82738 no power

Most of these TV's have switched mode power supllies that run very hot. There is a likely chance that the capacitors have cooked (burst) on the PSU board. They are common capacitors. Open up the TV and with the mains electricity turned off, check the 'X' on top of the tubular capacitors. If they are bulging, rather than flat, then unsolder them and replace them.

I've repaired many of these sets because of this problem.
