It could be because of loose headphone jack. plug in theheadphone jack and unplug it a few times, maybe it will get fixed if it is due to loose connection.

also check the audio left-right balance in the system tray.

it could also be fault in the wire or a dead speaker coil

I have 4 speaker wires, black green red white speaker left + speaker right + speaker left - speaker right - which cable goes where?

4 speaker wires, black, green, red, white ;speaker left +speaker right +speaker left -speaker right. First see what pair of speaker wires go to left the channel of the amplifier. One of each speaker must be connected to each amplifier´s channel, no matter of colors of the wires. Two wires for each speaker to each channel of the amplifier (rear panel + and -). Then you will have 4 wires connected to 2 stereo channels of your amplifier. Two wires for each speaker.

I have a LG KP501 but the sound seems to have stopped working. I can't hear anyone or anything but people can hear me. The volume adjust button works but no sound. Help! One minute it was fine and then...

Hello,

The reason your phones sound stopped working is because there is a problem with the speaker.

once the person on the other side can hear you, it simply means the michophone of the phone is woeking perfectly.

Since it is clear that it is the speaker of the phone that has a fault, all you have to do is to replace it and the problem is solved.

To fix the problem, get the appropriate screwdriver,

unscrew the phone, see the kind of speaker that is in it and get exactly the same type of speaker for replacement of the old one.

Get a pin tip soldering iron, and detach the old earpiece carefully, and ensure there is no damage done on the board of the phone.

replace the speaker with the new speaker you got for the phone. Carefully couple the phone back together, and turn it on. Make a phone call on it to see if it is working.

If the process of repair is difficult for you, get a earpiece or bluetooth device for the phone.

Take care
