Can I upload maps for South Africa - GPS

This is not NSFAS. FIXYA is not a university or government organization.

FIXYA is not in South Africa, but apparently many people in South Africa have asked for help in getting their Higher Education, which we support.

Use the search menu, Search Problems and Products, above to search for the answer already given many times about how to contact NSFAS in South Africa.

Usually, if you buy a (new) TomTom with a "free" lifetime maps, it is only for the (one) existing/current map(s) installed on the device. So, if that applies to your TomTom, you'd be able to get maps for South Africa (for life).
To get a TomTom map for Australia, just go to the tomtom website, (www.tomtom.com) and click on "Maps & Services" ... and you'll be able to select and buy/subscribe to the map(s) you want.

1.connect your device to pc via USB
2.it will open as GARMIN mass storage on your pc
3.open GARMIN drive from my computer
4.if windows 7, look left side Organize->Folder and search option
5.click View Tab ->click show hidden files folders
6.uncheck hide protected operating system file.
7.click ok

8.open .system folder and delete gmapprom.img and paste your india map file and rename it to gmapprom.img
9.copy JCV and SID folder to GARMIN main folder as shown in the image.

Yes, you can load the map of "southern Africa" which includes South Africa. Go to the tomtom website ... click Maps ... look for "Map of the World" ... and look for Southern Africa.

Then you can purchase the map ...and, download it to your TomTom ...

I took the Garmin back to the retailer and they gave me a new memory card, seems like the other card did not have any maps stored on. Garmin is now working 100%.

She can purchase the City Navigator Australia DVD and load the Australian maps onto an SD card. Insert this into the unit and she'll then have both S Africa and Australia maps.
