If the Touch Sceen is not responding properly, calibrate the touch screen.. Turn the Nuvi off then back on Slide Power key to the right (lock) Hold your finger on the secrren for 30 seconds until the calibration screen appears Follow the on-screen instructions
I would try to fix it by doing a reset. Hold the off switch for over 8 secs. and see if it helps. Connect to your computer and download the latest software and maps.
