To manually unlock the door lock system, perform the following steps:
1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
2. Remove the lower toe panel.
3. Reach up along the inside of the front panel and
locate the bottom of the door latch assembly.
4. Located on the bottom of the door latch
assembly is a teardrop shaped tab.
Gently pull the tab down approximately 1/4 inch,
or until a click is heard.
5. The door may now be manually opened.

05 honda odyssey passenger sliding door will not open manually or automatic. will beep if i try to open and make clicking sound. removed door panel and all parts are moving.

Give the door a good hard hit with a rubber hammer just as you move the lock button to unlock, that should do it.DO NOT lock this door again until the lock mech is lubed. You may have to try this a few times but it should open once it is actually unlocked.

Lock on washer

On some door lock mechanisms there's a manual release tab either above or below the lock assembly. Old Maytag Neptunes had a cord near the dispenser Simply pull the tab and the door unlocks

1994 toyata camry the alarm goes off and will not let me start the car.

factory security does not have toggle switches as far as I know so it is probably an aftermarket system. Try one of two things, turn the toggle switch the oposite direction with battery disconnected. Reconnect the battery and try again, the horn will beep a few times when you reconnect. try starting. If that doesn't work, disconnect the battery and turn the key to the on position and reconnect the battery and the horn will sound but will go off get in the car and try to start. It should start and run normally. shut car off, then you should be able to return the toggle switch to the previous position If this happens again turn the toggle switch to the opposite position with the batterry disconnected and turn the key switch to the on position and reconnect the battery and start when started go see a service that installs aftermarket systems and they should be able to reset it security system Hope this helps

I have a whirlpool duet, new, and it is coding F01, double beeping, and the door is locked. Can we figure out what is wrong? Please? Before I..... throw this **** thing out the door. thanks :)

Remove the bottom panel and reach up to the door latch. There is a tab in there you can pull to release the door lock. Then try unplugging the machine for a few minutes. If this doesn't work you will need to replace the motor control.

Hello, my MW511 Fiisher and Paykel top loader washer is not working, the lid locked light keeps flashing before the spin cycle and it keeps beeping and never starts the spin cycle... what can be wrong? I...

Hi - you may have somehow put the machine into data mode - its either that or the door lock itself has malfunctioned - the only other logical one is thw controller module.

I'm assuming its a Phase 6 - try this - press/hold wash temp & power button until u get 2 beeps & lights up - release buttons...

NOW IMPORTANT - be careful you are in memory system of the controller -

1. press start/pause to unlock/lock & toggle that lid locked lights - check default is off.
2. I think its either advance or regular to turn pump on/off.
3. try a few buttons see what happens - THEN

turn off at the wall & try it again, if it still doesn't work then we may have a more sinister problem which will require correct testing of the components.

This will require a thorough knowledge of how to interpret the test results, to nail the culprit.

Sorry cannot help further...

Turn it off give the silver shaft the carrier slides on shot of WD40 on each side of the carrier, move it back and forth a few times. It gets pretty gummed up over the years. Check in the carrier area for debris.

Yep. Another door switch.
Open the driver’s door. With a screwdriver or equivalent trip the latch on the door 2 clicks so it is in the locked position, just under that finger get a can of Brakecleen and hose the snot out of it. I mean really firehouse it. As fast as it evaporates I still had it running out of the door drains. Be careful not to get cleaner on the plastic door panel, trust me take extra care.
Open the outside door handle to release the latch, then open and shut the door for a while, like a few dozen times, to work the latch. Repeat as necessary. Follow up by shooting some PB Blaster, WD-40 or whatever light lube is handy.
If this doesn’t work, give it might take a day or so to work free. If still nothing then the micro switch might actually be broken, but this usually does the trick

Amana oven

Error F-9 means:Door lock safety circuit on ERC sensed Replace the door latch assembly

To solve this...Just press and hold the door latch to unlock position and then press cancel for a few seconds. The latch will return to its original position

This will probably fix it..but if doesnt work try this
Try unplugging the oven from the electrical power. May release the lock, which is held in place by a tiny micro switch. If not and while the electric is still off or the oven is unplugged, use a bright light flashlight to look through the slot where the lock is in the oven, not in the door.

You may be able to use a thin blade screwdriver to move the lock to the release position. Check the angle of the lever. A slightly bent lever handle also can cause this type of condition.

If all else fails, remove the access panel on the front of the oven to access the locking device and release it. May have to disconnect the wires to the lock which will allow door to function but not during any self cleaning modes.
