It's usually a soft plastic cover that with a gentle persuasion from a flat screwdriver will come off. Start above the latch and pry open as much ad needed. Locate the spring at the bottom, open up one of the fixing loops on the ends with long nose pliers and attach it to a fixed spot around the inside of the door. There are usually metal ribs inside the door and attach the other loop to the base of the latch
