When printing color the paper jams. This does not happen when printing black. How do I stop it from jamming when printing color.

Is that true for both print and copy job ?
Where does the jam happen ?

I am thinking if it is at the paper pickup roller area just as the job starts to print and not midway while printing, check the paper quality; dirty pickup roller; clean cork pad and try job from another tray

My canon MP620 Paper Jam Pull out the Jam Paper Al

There are pieces of paper stock on the sensor, when the paper jam happened then you pull out the paper did you get the whole page of the paper or have missing pieces? open the paper guide, turn off and on the printer and observe the unusual objects in the roller, this error is caused by objects in the sensor.

The paper twists when feeding into the printer

If this is happening from the paper tray, you probably could use a new set of rollers for the tray. Also, have you had any paper jams where when you cleared the jam there was some paper missing? We have seen useres clear jams and leave a little bit of paper in the printer which blocks the paper path causing the paper to twist in the path as it hits the jam piece of paper. If the jam is a little after the pickup area you could have a bad registration assembly which is immediately before the area where the paper picks up the image. If this is happening at the exit, it could be a bad fusing assembly.

Priter Jams

Sometimes this happens when the paper is too thin. Have you tried ordinary substance 20 paper? Also see if the guide for the paper is set correctly according to the size of the paper that you are using. this especially happens if the guide is not able to correctly set the paper straight before it is fed

Clearing an error

well, one of two things have happened, 1. you haven't removed all of the jammed paper, maybe you left a small piece of a piece of paper or you may bent or broken your paper jam sensor. go through the paper path very carefully and check both things.
