Model cmt-ex1. how can I set the clock without remote?

You need to use buttons on the remote to set the clock.

1.Turn on the system.

2.To select the clock set mode press TIMER MENU. If the current mode appears on the display, press up and/or down to select
"CLOCK SET?" and then press (+)

3.To set the time. Press up and/or down to set the hour, and then press (+) to confirm. Repeat to set minutes.

The clock needs to be re-set whenever power is lost to the unit.

The clock can be momentarily displayed when the system is off by pressing DISPLAY. The clock is then displayed for about 8
seconds.

I have the same problem and it's due to dirt!
I'm going to try using compressed air, but -

tilt the cd player to a 45 degree angle (flat, basically - as if they tray were horizontal.)

I had my player for 10 or 12 years, and this problem is only coming up now. My house gets very dusty.

Also - vertical load disc players are hard to clean. X_X (inside the disc tray)

I don't want to have to go out and buy another stereo!

Parts store shows this remote as #141861411 but not avail. MCM Electronics has that part number as 1-418-614-11 (RM-SCEX1) under thier order number 32-20405 for $13.80. You may wish to consult your owners manual to verify the number of the orig remote provided before ordering just to be sure.

stereo headphone jack from pc through to AUX, if on your system, via twp rca plugs

If your two speakers are working,if ok ,then the problem is in power amp section ,the IC chip there is already defected .changed that IC so it works normal again and some reheating works in power amp.section...
