I can definitely provide assistance with this. Whenever our receivers do
their nightly update, the receivers do enter standby mode. There is no
way to disable this, but you can definitely setup an Auto Tune timer.
This will cause the receiver to exit standby mode and tune to a channel.
To set this up, find a channel you want the TV to go to, and choose the
time you want the receiver to turn on. Press record from the guide.
Select 'Auto Tune' from the list, and select 'Daily'. This will set it
up to happen every day.

Usually Sony Camcorders are designed to turn off after 5 minutes of non recording. If you want to disable without recording like when you try to use the Camcorder as webcam, please remove the tape from the Camcorder. Go into the setup menus, and look for an option that is standby timer, or auto power off. You should then be able to disable the feature, or change the time duration.
This is assuming that you are not using the "sleep" function.
I would suggest going to the Dell website and making sure you have the most up to date drivers, including chipset drivers.
If that doesn't fix the situation you can disable standby by going to the control panel> Power Options, select each theme and disable standby, also goto the advanced tab and make sure your power button doesn't cause your computer to go into standby. Note that disabling standby doesn't actually fix the issue, it just disables standby.
