LG OLED Horizontal Flickering + Power off

The model would have helped. Generally horizontal lines in the picture come from a defective panel and the set isn't fixable, you could try replacing the t-con board but chances of fixing it are slim

Sound ok white screen no picture

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Have NEC LCD 40 inch tv which now has no sound or picture with coloured lines down he screen, is it fixable or has screen given up??

Hi,

Uh-Oh....Vertical lines, NO PICTURE. That is NOT good.

Did your TV get hit or fall over?

The LCD panel is actually broken.

If you had a picture on it, it would still be a bad LCD panel, but when you get lines and no picture, it means the row/column bus has been severed somewhere.

The downside is the LCD panel will cost the same or more than the TV set.

I wish i could have a better solution.

Let em know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Gets sound but a line through the screen with no picture

If the main PCB is not cracked too bad, it should not be expensive to repair. You have lost vertical deflection causing the flat line. There may be a crack at the flyback, where the vertical IC gets its operating voltage, or a crack at the pins of the vertical IC itself.

Toshiba 57H82 entire screen flickers. Not clear. mult images

Take the television back to where you bought it and maybe they might repair it or swap it. It sounds like a defect in the TV.

BUT! Are you sure that its not just the aerial signal??
