Frigidaire slide-in range electronic ignition not working

I have a Frigidaire PLGS389ECG slide-in range, and the electronic ignition just quit working. I would like to open it up to take a look, but can't figure out how to get the cook top off. Do I need to cut the bead of caulk around the edge of the cook top and slide the unit out to start working on it, or is there some way to open it up in place?

SOURCE: Igniter Replacement

Each burner is secured with 2 to 3 screws. It will be necessary to remove all screws on each burner in order to remove the top. USE CAUTION. Do not force the screws it they seem tight. These screws will often corrode, forcing them out could break them. The best method if tight is to move them back and forth (tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen etc. until the corrosion breaks free.

SOURCE: GE JSP39 range; front right burner eye doesn't work at all

there are two tests to chk which is bad, wether it is the control switch or the elemnt.disconnect the power to stove and open the top and disonnect the wires from elemnt and chks the continuity of the elemnt coil with a multimeter.if the meter does not read continuity then elemnt is bad.to confirm this connect the wires back to the elemnt and plug the unit to power, turn on the switch to high position and read the voltage coming to elemnt.it should be 240 volts.if u read that voltage, then for sure element is bad.if every thing is opposite to this then it is the control switch which is bad.

SOURCE: top burners work but the oven is not working. I

Well not sure how long it has been in use,but igniters will go bad anywhere from 5-15 years depending on use and if the stove has been moved or dropped. The igniter is very fragile and when you look at it the crack that stops it from working is very small and many times is hard to find.Well hope this helps.

Our frigidaire dual ignition fgf337 range will not ignite on either the stove. Broiler or oven. Gas is coming out though because you can hear and smell it. What to do? I don't think there is an pilot...

Good Morning M Kinsella, thank you for your inquiry!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire dual fuel range is not igniting on either broil or bake. There is not a pilot light on your range. It typically is an electronic igniter and if it fails that electrical piece would need to be replaced. In order to have that component tested and repaired I would advise seeking assistance from a professional technician. If you do not have a professional contact I would review your manufacturer's website for additional assistance. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Hi Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

Based on the symptoms you are describing, it appears your Frigidaire range is possibly experiencing a potential wiring failure or a communication problem with the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). Try unplugging your range or flipping the household circuit breaker off first. It is good to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your range. If the issue continues, then I recommend contacting a professional to make a precise diagnosis.

We have a Frigidaire electronic ignition range about a decade old. The stove works fine. But lately we've noticed if we're using any stove elements the oven won't ignite and heat up. Conve

Sounds like the pressure regulator on the stove is going bad. The pressure regulator is located in the back. Your gas supply line should connect directly to it.

Frigidaire gas range FGF337

The Frigidaire units have a shutoff valve on the regulator that has to be flipped up so the oven will get gas.
