GE P7 Wall oven model JK1905AV only gets warm....

Hello, we have a GE P7 Wall oven model JK1905AV and when we turn it on, the oven only gets warm. It used to work perfect before, and just started doing this. We bake a lot. Does the coils need to be replaced? and if so, where can they be purchased?

How can I check thermostste on GE P7 before buying new one

wow much to high to pay? it can be checked for continuity with an ohm meter. u can buy cheap meters for like 5 bucks or so. are u sure their trying to charge them much for a thermostat? maybe they thought u meant something else? if its getting way to hot u have a bad oven sensor? it to can be checked with a meter. When ur thermostat goes out due to overheating , the oven will not operate. thermal thermostats are not resettable. oven sensor is located near the back along the wall it thin and may have a glass look?

What year was the ge p7 wall oven manufactured? trying to find out the age of the oven.

I can go back to 1974-5 for mine, that's when my original Landlord bought the place and it still has the same GE P7 as when the complex was new...and it still works.

I have a 1960s GE P7 oven that will not heat. How can I test the WB 22x53 switch? Could it be the latch release switch or the oven temp rheostat? The oven makes a humming noise when the dial is turned...

you can test any switch or relay or capacitors on the control board with an ohmmeter in the ohm setting. If low or no resistance, then it is bad. You can get any parts and manual at repairclinic.com or appliance411.com

GE P7 Wall oven had bad thermostat????

IF YOUR HEATING ELEMENT IS GETTING ORANGE HOT, AND CYCLING, I WOULD SUSPECT THE THERMOSTAT TO BE THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. YOU MAY FIND IT HARD TO FIND ONE THOUGH DUE TO ITS AGE.

GE P7 double wall ovens, electic, do they still make heating elements for this model

elements are not made by the manufacturer and generic in design
to that end you go to electrical wholesalers and taking you old elements along , see if there is a like one that fits
depending on where you are there are retailers that sell elements for just about everything and e-bay has a range of elements
you have to make sure of several things
1-- the end fittings are the same
2-- the wattage is the same and the shape is the same and --the dimensions are the same
all of this you can get by reading the description on the sellers page
