Where can I find an instruction manual for a n american standard remote for a trane split heating and ac unit?

I'm confused but 79 for Trane/ American Standard is low pressure

All you need to know is that it is a 1/4 hp, 825 rpm. 1/2 inch shaft. That is if you are going to buy an after market motor. I have had to make new mounting holes when using after market motors on trane systems (just the way trane is) but not a problem. If you're getting it from trane you would only need the model number of the condenser.

Had error code 91 on Trane XL19i thermostat. Heat season on duel fuel system. Repair tech said board is bad ($963) and transducer ($1000). Unit is 3 ton 12 years old. Does it make sense to repair or put in a new unit?

Sometimes these can be reset by gently taping them on the floor. Can be caused by not changing your furnace filter.

I would check the outdoor unit, Trane uses "Sump Heaters" on their compressors
and when one fails it will blow fuses at the disconnect or trip breakers.
The sump heater is a small metal pencil sized item at the bottom of the compressor
with something that looks like lamp cord going to it. Also when the start capacitor
fails it will exhibit this symptom. Look at the can shaped items inside the cover
If they are leaking, or bulged this may also be the problem.
(with the breakers off to everything including the inside unit to prevent shorting
the transformer)
These are the most common problems and the parts are less than 20 dollars each.
I service 155 trane units at my properties.

Make sure you do not have a jumper between the red and the white. Also make sure the wire is not hanging out from behind the screws. If the heat stayes on no matter what you do. The red wire has to be touching the white somewhere.
The red is your 24v supply to the thermostat
The white is what sends the 24v to the heat side of unit.
Just a thought. If the thermostat has a O/B pin or switch on the back. Make sure it's on O. It should only be ob B if it's a Trane, American Standard or Payne.

American Standard and Trane are the same thing. The diagram you want is not complicated at all. Just straight cool unit. American Standard does not put low or high pressure controls on unit. You can get diagram on line At American Standard.com. Just what do you need to know? Very basic unit.
