It sounds like the color wheel is beginning to fail. I would recommend calling a technician to repair this problem. You can call 1-800-samsung to find the closest service center.
I just had the same problem. If your lucky it might be a free 5 minute fix. The five light flashes mean impropper current. I took the front grill off, then behind that is another black cover, I took that off and noticed the circuit boards COVERED in dust. I then took an air can duster and blew off all the dust... works like new. No more flashes and in an out picture. The collection of dust was interfereing with the electrical current.
My picture would go out after several minutes but I still had sound. I
took the rear cover off and blew all the dust off with compresed air.I
did this for a few times over several days nothing happened.I also took
off the rear circuit board that attaches to the tube with a round pin
socket and blew that with compressed air and put it back on. The TV has
now worked for two days without the picture going out. It
worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is a problem wit your stk392-110 convergence IC's - One has gone bad and the both should be replaced. Also, check the large resistors near the convergence IC's - it sounds like one of them may have burned up..
