What is causing picture problems?

Model Code: LN46A650A1FXZA There are no inputs connected, so only static shows, however, the static is split into three sections of different quality. While facing the screen the right side seems to be OK, but the middle is dark, and the left side is light as well as "lagging," essentially the picture is coming in slowly and has a trail behind it. The dark (middle) part is not like a shadow, the pixels seem darker, but are getting power.

SOURCE: samsung tv turning off by itself

I had a similar problem where my 61" Samsung DLP was turning itself off very frequently I had resolved to try replacing the bulb. I called a local TV repair place to see if they had my buld in stock. The guy I spoke to actually told me how to fix my problem! There is a little blue switch behind the bulb access door. The inside of the door has a little piece that presses the switch down. The switch is supposed to work correctly weather the switch is in the up or down position but samsung forgot to take expansion from heat into account. If the switch is held in the upper position by the door and the plastic expands to a certain point, it triggers the set to shut off. This does not occur of the switch is held in the lower position. What you need to do is take the access door off and put it back on by sliding it into position from above. That will hold the switch in the down position, eliminating the problem. My set has not **** itself off ever since.

SOURCE: dark vertical lines on tv screen

If under warranty then of course use that.
This is a display problem. One solution someone knowledgeable in electronics can try.
This problem can be caused by a bad connection fitting of the flat cables on LCD controller board. Dis-connect the flat cables from the LCD controller(T-CON) and carefully reconnect them. Try the unit before reassembling the back cover. You may have to disconnect/reconnect several times to show improvements if this is the problem.

Hi my Telefunken TV MODEL TLEDD-48FHDA is blank it doest show any picture but it has sound please advise

If your Telefunken TV model TLEDD-48FHDA is producing sound but no picture, there could be a few potential causes. Here are a few things to check:
  1. Input: Make sure that the TV is set to the correct input or source. If the TV is set to the wrong input, it will not display a picture.
  2. Cable or HDMI connections: Make sure that all cable or HDMI connections are secure and properly connected. If the connections are loose or not properly connected, the TV will not display a picture.
  3. Video settings: Check the video settings on the TV to make sure that the correct resolution and aspect ratio are selected.
  4. Backlight or Inverter: It's possible that the backlight or inverter of the TV is not functioning properly. This could prevent the picture from appearing on the screen.
  5. T-con board: T-con board is a circuit board that controls the transfer of data from the main board to the display panel. If the T-con board is faulty, the TV will not display a picture.
  6. Main board: The main board controls the overall function of the TV, if it is faulty, the TV will not display a picture.
It's likely that one of the above causes is the problem. It's recommended to check the connections and settings first, if that doesn't solve the problem, it's best to contact a professional technician or Telefunken customer service to diagnose and fix the problem.

Tv is coming on but no picture is coming up and none of the controls will work.

This problems, could be ur incomming broadcasting signal wire like coaxel wire like connect to tv ANT. hole input. or AV wires connection Y,R,W to ur AV input holes or those HDMI cables connections to it output HDMI ports.Take every connections of wires that are connected to the tv like input/out connections wires out of the tv.Now leave only AC power source turn on the tv and see if u get a tv LCD screen signal statics of snows only and U see no broadcasting tv incomming signal and only statics noises on the tv LCD screen only.Yes,than this problems, than it is not the tv problems, these problems it could well be caused by ur pay cables, satalites or telecomucations compannies signals broadcasting coaxel wire to the those compannies pay recieving boxes.Tries to unplug the pay broadcasting signal box u are using for about an hour. This well reset ur pay box back to the original and factory setting. Now,Ur box the paying incomming broadcasting tv channels signal pictures should return. If not talk to ur paying tv broadcasting signals commpanies for a replacement of the box u are paying for.99% of ur problems,i'm seeing u having is a broadcasting tv pictures signals that imcomming to the paying box u have a problems. This is not a tv set itself problems.

TV is fuzzy and not showing a clear picture

  1. If your set is connected to a cable TV box via coax cable check the connection on the cable box (both Input and out to TV connections) tighten if necessary.
  2. If your using a cable splitter to split the cable to multiple TVs check those connections also.
  3. If this fails to correct the problem you may have a bad cable which your cable provider should replace at no charge to you.

Static in the picture

Light static in picture is usually caused by a bad cable connector.
- things to check/questions:
Does it happen with all sources DVD, VCR ?
Are you on Antenna, Cable, Cable box or Satellite?
Does it happen on all Channels?
Do you use the cable input or audio video inputs?
The problem is usually not serious and is usually external to the TV

HD50LPW42 screen is black with antenna inputs

It sounds to me like you have a tuner issue, I have seen this before. If you have a good picture from other sources and they have the same antenna input, the tuner is suspect.

I hope that this helps you solve your issue.
Thanks

Sony Trinitron: Frozen Static Issue

you could be experiencing two problems. the first part of your description states the static with two horizontal bars, this problem is usually erratic and it is caused by a defective varactor tuner(this happens while watching a channel thru your channel selector) the second part that it also happens while using the front hookups could be taht the front input connectors have developed some loose solder connections and thus the video problems (very common problem)

VGA and Audio cables connected to PC but no audio through TV

if your tv has vga input there should be a "line in" input very near it. VGA can only get its audio source through a "line in" connecting to the coaxial audio inputs will apply the music stream to a different video input on your tv. your tv has video 1, video 2, vga, and so on, but the vga cannot show video and then audio from the video/audio coaxial inputs. you will need something like a dual male tipped 3.5mm audio connector.

Good luck and pls rate this post
