Not a fuse issue , doesn't have a fuse just for reverse . Your best bet , take an have diagnosed at a qualified repair shop

You need a new , rebuilt, or most likely, a junk yard transfer case. Your lucky that 2 wheel drive still works..

it looks to me the only special tool needed would be
spring ring pliers.
just removing nuts or blots on the left side and spring clips on both slide axle out pull wheel over bearing then reverse put together

did you verify that both of the motors are good? you can usually tell this by seeing if both of the wheels spin when the pedal is pushed

ALL SNOW BLOWERS HAVE WHAT THEY CALL A FRICTION DISC DRIVE IT SOUNDS LIKE THE FORWARD SIDE OF THE DISC IS WORN OR THEDRIVE WHEEL HAS A RUBBER DRIVE RING THAT IS WORN. IF YOU REMOVE THE BOTTOM PLATE YOU WILL SEE TWO DRIVE WHEELS ONE IS JUST A METAL DISC AND THE OTHER LOOKS THE SAME BUT HAS A REBBER RING FOR GRIPPING THE DISC TO MOVE THE BLOWER FOREWARD, WE END UP REPLACING ALL THE DRIVE DISC AND DRIVE WHEELS ON OURS EVERY SPRING THE FOREWARD DRIVE TAKES THE MOST PUNISHMENTTHERE FOR WHEARS OUT THE FASTEST. MTD HAS A WEB SITE FOR ORDERING PARTS AND ARE NOT HARD TO INSTALL.GOOD LUCK LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES

check for a vacuum leak under the truck above the transimission

most likely the trans failed. it needs to be inspected if the fluid is full
