No, if is worked before, you don't need a booster. It is a software glitch or a WiFi setting that is incorrect.

Factory Reset the television. Re-enter the WiFi settings, (SSID and Password), and then do any Software Updates.

I would just do the reset, this should allow you to access at factory defaults. (I hold button in for 10 sec).

A solid green (power?) light is good
LAN ports should only light if connected
WiFi port should light if set to active

hi . if the logo of wi fi highlighted its the board wifi hardware problem & there is no solution sorry . don't waste your time just go to apple store & pay them 160$ to exchange your phone whit working refurbushed one .

Did you loose WiFi access password or router password?
If it's WiFi password then you can connect over Ethernet cable, login to the router (default password is blank) and change WiFi password.
If it's router password you will need to reset it to factory defaults and setup everything from scratch.

Connect directly to the router using an Ethernet cable if you haven't already and go to http://192.168.2.1 . Go to the Wireless > Security and input the new password.

Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. Then click on WAn settings and set wan settings as internet service provider settings. Then click on wireless settings then enable wifi also enter SSID name and enable broad cast turn on wifi . i had the same problem. the wifi button was grayed out and i couldn't select it. resetting the i pod to factory settings solved the problem.

go to general settings, than reset, than select erase all content and settings it put it back to factory settings and takes about an hour.
