Spinning is prevented when the cover is open. Possibly a broken "door closed" switch is or its wires are broken. Lift the lid platform and check the switch. May be just debris preventing it from engaging. Remember, the lid and the close switch must be engaged before the control circuit will allow the high speed spin from happening. This is an essential safety feature and should never be circumvented. A high speed drum can literally pull an arm from its socket if caught so make sure it's working properly

Roper rab4132hq0 washer does not spin consistently. Most of the time, the spin will not engage, this isn't just for the spin cycle, but for the spinning during the wash and rinse cycles as well....
Sounds like a bad gearcase.You have a machine that is direct drive. The motor is hooked directly to the gearcase by a little coupler. Look under and make sure the coupler is in place if it is then you need gearcase.Again the coupler is located between the motor and gearcase. Hope this helped.

The washer is not spinning well...Clothes are partly wet when cycle is completely off...it used also to leak at one time where we can see some water when the cycle is complete...
Hello, when the clothes are partly wet when cycle is complete then check these.
1. Motor coupler
2. Spin cycle

MOTOR COUPLER; To test the motor coupler, restart the washer in it's spin cycle,let the machine runs for a minutes and then open the lid and notice if the tub is spinning: if it's spinning when you lift the lid that means the coupler is fine and if it doesn't spin that means you have to replace it.
SPIN CYCLE: If the washer doesn't reach it's proper spin speed,the cloth may be wet at the end of the cycle,check to be if the load is properly balanced and run a spin cycle again,if the clothes are still wet, you may have a worn or loose belt which you have to replace.

Kenmore washer mdl#110.23832100 spin cycle motor
Hello, looks like your lid switch is on it's way out, replace it...you will find it normally about half way down under the lid. If not there you will find it in the control panel on the right side next to the water level control. The reason it works some times and not others is because some times it fails to push the lid switch down far enough to engage. the lid switch is a safety divice inteneded to stop you opening the lid while in a high speed spin. If it agitates fine , with normal noise , drains with lid closed , then the problem is probably the transmission .

Washer does not spin. What's wrong with the machine??
Sounds like a bad lid switch. If it works intermittently, could be loose. When you close the lid, the two parts of the lid switch line up which allows continuation of operation. You can bypass the lid switch by removing power to machine; locate the switch FOR THE LID ON THE MACHINE SIDE, remove the two wires and wire nut them together. MACHINE WILL RUN NORMALLY EVEN WITH THE LID OPEN.

Drain/Spin won't work unless lid is lifted up
