HI guys, I have an 06 jeep grand cherokee ltd, the nav/radio screen is not completely off but it seems as though the backlight has stopped working (can JUST see screen with light on it)bought on Sat.

I checked the fuse panel but I'm not totally familiar with this model and the diagram doesn't really give a clue to exactly which fuse I'm looking for. Everything functions-just no backlight.

Nav/radio may have internal error.

Check wiring diagram/ use ohm meter to check for proper electrical output.

Almost all, then you'll need to go over to Scosche.com and select a 'in-dash installation kit' . They provide a dash mounting panel for you to side the new radio's mounting sleeve.

sounds like you might need a new cd player, if it was a fuse the problem would be there 100% of the time

the nav (rec) head is too complex to stuff into the , cars users guide, have paper too, in my jeep, "no phy. time button , for sure"
so JEEP has a manual only for this one head.

get it and keep if for next time lost in the guts of NAV
the DVD_Rom slot 7 is not optional,. NAV DISC.!
nor is working GPS. and is the default.
for driving maps live all that is needed.

The screen of the radio/cd displays the follow message 2 - SEL , when I start the engine. What it means?. This happen in my 1999 jeep grand cherokee ltd with no cd charger it just have one cd slot

upgrade time,
check fuses,
make sure wire and connector to head end radio are ok
if not upgrade time.

2006 jeep cherokee radio screen has lines running thru it, radio works fine. Is this a fuse problem?

No. It's a radio screen problem. Being an 06, if it still works, keep listening.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Navigation Issue The

Look on ebay for an REC Joystick replacement. In the mean time you can hold down the middle button on the right side of the back of the steering wheel, where you can control the radio features. When you hold this button down, a little red wheel symbol appears on the navigation screen which means you can control the navigation system from the steering wheel controls. This works for simple tasks until you get the replacement joystick. They are about $30 and take about an hour to install.

How do i put the radio code in my 96 grand cherokee jeep

Jeep grand cherokee ltd, 1996 The radio is not working, when I switch the power on the antena motor makes a noise although the antena is always up, there is no sound from the radio what so ever, it says WAIT 2 1/2 hours but nothing happens, no tape radio cd, switch the radio off the antena makes a noise then the radio switches off.

DO NOT HAVE NAVIGATION CD FOR MY 2004 JEEP CHEROKEE LIMITED

got mine off ebay for a decent price. you can also order through the dealership. if you order a newer one (make sure it is for the jeep) it will make some minor changes (upgrades) to your radio.
