Wipe it really clean? Like erase Windows and everything?

Do you have the original disks that came with the computer? If you boot from a Windows installation disk, then you can reformat (wipe) the disk before you install. That's a nice clean install. If you want to go a step further, you could repartition the drive with fdisk, then format it.

If you're looking to keep windows, but erase all the programs and files, that's more tedious. Open Control Panel, go to Programs & Features. You'll see a list of installed programs. You can double-click on a program to uninstall it.

To get rid of files, I would suggest creating a new User account for yourself, give yourself Administrator permissions, and then delete your friends account. Then you can look in the Users folder, and if you see your friend's account on a folder, delete it.

Accidental erase of os without bootdisc of windows 8 toshiba satelite C55-A

If you can boot from CDrom or floppy, you may be able to restore the partition information using a DOS utility. Easus has a program you can download and write to CD (given you have another machine) and use that to boot the machine and restore the partitions. Unless you went hog-wild in erasing, everything is still there and recoverable. Well, almost everything. There are other programs, such as those on sourceforge.net, that can restore erased partitions and others that can restore erased files.
If you have the OS CD, or DVD from Toshiba, boot that... If there was a hidden 'restore' partition, you may be able to access them from BIOS.

PLEASE NEED HELP WITH Dell Latitude D505 LAPTOP

shut your system completely down again plug it in to the charger and then restart the process of powering it back on as soon as you see the dell logo start pressing the shift key along with the f12 key if your hard drive is still intacked you should be taken to the start up menue select safe mode to start with. from there you should be able to get in to the program menue and you want to run system restore. if pressing shift and f12 does not get you in to the start up menue shut the system completely down again and just try hitting the f12 key to get in to it. if that does nothing either i am afraid you may have lost your hard drive.

I ahve a friends ipod and idk the code he just gave it to me what do i do

You should ask your friend with their passcode is, otherwise you cannot use it without erasing everything that is on there. If your friend doesnt remember it, and gives you the OK to try to unlock it (explain to them it will erase everything) the follow these steps:
Step 1: Plug your iPod into your computer and open up iTunes.

Step 2: After a few moments, scroll down the left side of your screen until you see your iPod. Select it.

Step 3: The right side of your screen should now show the general information about your iPod. Scroll down the right side of your screen until you see a button labeled "Restore"

Step 4: Click OK. Give it a few minutes and your iPod will be restored to factory settings WARNING: ALL THE INFORMATION THAT WAS ON YOUR IPOD WILL BE ERASED. Once the iPod is restored, it will be able to sync with whatever is in your iTunes library.

I need to reboot like factory setting from a computer a friend gave me. The problem is that we dont have the disc to reboot a 2350 dell. Can i do it without a disc>

Well, if the computer is not too old, and hasn't been messed with too much, Try this. When you turn on the computer, as soon as the dell logo goes away, you should see a blue bar across the top that says dell.com. Hold down the RIGHT control key and hit F11 a few times. If all goes well, voila, Dell System Restore. This is the best way to do it, since it will reinstall all of the drivers and everything for you. HOWEVER this will erase EVERYTHING on your drive before reinstalling, so you will lose all of your data.

Install new program

I take it that you just want to run 10.3 and no longer require OS9.
After starting from the OSX install disc, run Disc Utilities. Form there you can erase the hard drive. You should then be able to install OSX.
