How to reset after it was turned off - Haier 5 cu. ft. / 142 liter Chest Freezer HCM050WA

The machine, all in one, not indoor/outdoor split type, will make beeping sound when something is wrong and stops working until it is turned off and turned back on. Some times the machine needs to be reset with the power on, covers removed, reset button inside on electronic mother board.
The ice machine covers have instructions and information on beeping sounds.

Turn the power off for a few minutes then reconnect and try and reset . if no response you will need a repair man.

hold down the water button for 10 sec or till the light resets. it says it right on the button " filter reset"

remove the screw(s) and slide the cover towards the front (the cover over the control board near the wash/ice switch.) with the machine on carefully locate the reset button on top of the circuit board and push to reset..

Try disconnecting power for about 30 seconds, and then restore power. This will reboot the control and maybe restart.

Time for a new freezer. The lights are telling you power is on and temperature not being reached. No amount of resetting will alter this.

try resetting the the "reset" button on the control board. it may be just that simple.

hi brian 20 degrees is too warm for a freezer i think you may have a dirty condensor coil its usualy under the freezer or on the back also check and if it has a fan on the outside make shure its turning let me know what you find and you can e mail me at [email protected]

you need to have a defrost or the freezer will not work unplugging the time clock then the compressor will not work. Tom

Try turning off the temp. switch off.
Then plug it in and turn the temp on!
this may reset it.
Repeat one more time and let me know ho it went!


How old is the appliance?
If the appliance is 10 years old or more you may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
You need a hands on tech for this repair!
