SOURCE: Flush valve drops before bowl completes flush

is the flapper weighted? if it is it will cause it to shut prematurely. one thing you can do is increase the water in the tank. you might have to buy a pvc cuppler to put on the over flow to allow it to fill up more. korky makes a nice flapper thats not weighted

SOURCE: I've just installed a Fluidmaster

The first thing I would check is to make sure that the body of the float or the linkage that connects the float to the top of valve are not rubbing on inside of the tank and stopping it from moving freely.
Also when tank is full hold float down so that all air that is inside the top of the float is let out. I hope this hepls you. Thanks.

SOURCE: since I replaced the insides

You are going to have to adjust the valve you just installed. Most can be adjusted by pulling a ring close to the bottom upward and pulling the neck of the valve up, in turn adjusting the water level in the tank. There should be instructions in the box on how to raise the water level.

SOURCE: After flushing the toilet with

hiya:) This is a result of a very minor design error (i am a big fan of FluidMaster products) combined w/a slightly higher than normal water pressure situation or foreign matter stuck in the valve somewhere. try turning down the water pressure via the shuttoff under the toilet tank:)

Toilet driping sound at bottom after flushing

Either the flapper is not closing completely or the water level is too high so water runs out the overflow pipe. Level should be set at 1/2" below top of pipe.

I have an American standard tank 4083 that is leaking where the tank bolts meet the bowl

Shut the water off flush toilet and there should be two bolts that you can see at the under side of that tank. You need to remove them bolts and lift off the tank and install a new seal. Sometimes i mean sometimes you can tighten them a little and they will stop leaking. If it has been for awhile id just replace it.

The overflow pipe should be attached to a small clip that holds it in position over the over flow pipe. If it is loose or attached to the outside it will do what yours is doing.

Toilet wont flush completely. it may take 4 times or more to flush solids. i at first thought this was related to heavy rains we had been receiving in the area over a period of about 4 months. 2 days...

there is no air release. the vent must be clogged somewhere. you can take a hose up there and see if it drains all the way or floods over. since the tub drain has a trap and the toilet itself is a trap, there has to bee a good amount of air pressure coming up without a release. i would say an obstruction. possibly at the junction of the main and the vent.
