Any valet switch will work. Then simply program your remote. As long as you have a DEI remote there should be no problem unless you are trying to program a two way remote (pager) to a one way system (non pager)

Dei viper python valet hornet boa transmitter programming help

DEI REMOTE PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS
Need a DEI Remote Replacement Now? Try our all New Remote Quick-Find
Not sure what type of Replacement Remote you need?
In order to enter Learn Routine, the Valet/Program push button must be plugged
into the main brain's Blue 2 Pin Port (Look for a small black push button located under
the drivers dash or drivers kick panel somewhere). If you do not have the Valet/Program switch, you may order it at www.lesscoelectronics.com or www.lesscosales.com

1)
Open a door and make sure the dome light is on.

2)
Turn the ignition on to the RUN position or you may also start car.

3)
Within 15 seconds press and release the Valet/Program push button
to select the channel you wish to program. For example, press and release
once for channel 1 (arm/disarm channel).
For Channel 2, press and release twice (trunk release).
For Channel 3, press and release three times (remote start).
(Some DEI systems require different programming for different channels. You
can get specific installation manuals with remote programming instruction)

Press and hold the Valet/Program push button once more. You should get a
confirmation chirp/horn-honk or a flashing LED light (If installed).
If you do not get a chirp/horn-honk the alarm may have a jumper in
the alarm that has the programming feature turned OFF (disabled).

4)
Once the alarm chirps/horn-honks keep holding the Valet/Program push button.

5)
Press the button on the transmitter that you would like to control the selected receiver
channel. A chirp/horn-honk will confirm that the code has been learned. If programming
more than one transmitter repeat step 5. Old transmitter codes will be dropped only
if programming 4 new transmitters.

6)
Once the code(s) are learned, the Valet/Program push button can be released.

Learn Routine will be Exited if:

Ignition is turned off
Door is closed
Valet/Program push button is pressed too many times
More than 15 seconds elapses between steps
One long chirp/horn-honk indicates that Learn Routine has been exited.

Where did they put the valet/program buttom on my 2004 Rendezvous?

This is somebody else's so;ution, but it might give you an idea on where to start. I always thought the valet switch was just a key that you gave to the valet. But inn this case out of my legue, my old dodge pickup doesn't hAVE AND MOST LIKELY NEVER WILL HAVE A VALET SWITCH. So check this so;ution oout and see if it gets you going in the right direction.

There should be a key specifically for a valet.
1) Open one of your vehicle's doors and turn the ignition, using the car key, to the "Run" position. Check to see that the dome light comes on. Make sure that you have the dome light set to the position where it powers the light when the door is opened, as there are usually three settings: one for "On," one for "Off" and one for when a door is opened.
2) Press the valet remote push-button to access the channel that you want to program: once for "Arm/disarm," twice for "Trunk Release" and three times for "Remote Start." The valet push-button is usually located under the driver's side panel, and it must be pressed within 15 seconds of opening the door. The push-button may also be installed underneath the kick panel.
3) Press the valet push button once again and wait to hear a chirping or a honking sound. If you do not hear either of these sounds, your vehicle might have a jumper installed that has turned the valet programming feature off. Refer to your vehicle's instructional manual to learn how to set the valet programming feature to the "On" position. Keep holding the valet button pressed as you continue onto the next step.
4) Push the button on the remote that you wish to assign to a particular valet channel. Press the button on the hand-held valet remote that you wish to assign to a particular valet channel. If you wish to program multiple remotes, repeat this step for each of them. If you program four or more remotes, the old programming will be erased.
5) Let go of the valet push-button and exit your vehicle. Your handheld remote is now ready to use.
Tips & Warnings- Some valet remote channels require different programming individually, so refer to the owner's manual or to the link provided in the "Resources" section of this article, for specific instructions.
- Valet remote programming methods may vary, depending on the vehicle's make and model.
