Make sure you have your devices plugged into the different appropriate inputs, then cycle through them, either by hitting the button for the device or repeatedly pressing an input button to cycle through the available inputs. Make sure your service is on and connected. "caps"????? to what are you referring?
If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured there are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.
It seems that your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.
Hey there..I had a PIP problem for the last 6 weeks and just solved it with this tip. The solution was in front of me all the time.
Hit the set up button on the TV. You'll see options to change the language. The last option is to put the TV in "Demo Mode." Put the TV in Demo mode, when the first screen appears, "Welcome to...." the PIP will disappear. Hit exit before the screen moves to the "Menu." If you miss it, watch the demo once--it will restart--and hit the exit button the next time you see the "Welcome to" message.
I just did this and it worked for me - i hope it works for you
you have to take the remote, find the input button, push the input button untill your picture comes back, you should see the input go from cable/antenna, to vid 1--vid2---vid3---if pushing the button a couple of times dont change it, you will have to hit the input button, then arrow down, and select the nexy one, do that untill you find the picture
You have a burn in problem from watching widescreen movies. If you have access to a signal generator or tv setup disc run a perfectly white screen on the plasma for about 30 min. This should help even out the pixels on the display.
