How to adjust buzzer volume on an Emerson smartset alarm clock, CKS1521?

Hi,

Please check the bottom and back of your alarm clock for the buzzer volume option. If you can't find it, please refer to your manual. If this is not in the manual, then it might no be built into your product and you might need to trade-in for a new alarm clock that allows you to adjust the buzzer volume. Thank you.

How do you operate the alarm?

Start by adjusting the volume down to an acceptable level.

The mere fact that midnight is the HOUR of YOUR SCHEDULED assault... means you have SET the TIME but have never set the ALARM clock... and are using it mainly as a clock only... Yes?

Not as a radio... (I don't know your model... but most radio alarms are at your regular listening volume... (my sheltered opinion)).

(trying to be Sherlock here).

So you probably have your
ON - Off - Radio - Alarm selector switch set to RADIO... Yes?

I'm guessing... That is the problem.

When you want to listen... use the sleep or on buttons... or the "ON"

If I am off the mark... "comment" back to me with the MODEL & MAKE... and I'll give it a better going over.

Peaceful sleep is nice.

How do I change radio volume on the alarm?

This clock is supposed to have an automatically "increasing" volume feature (starts off low, gets louder over a minute or so).

If not sufficient, look on the top right side of the clock, there should be an up/down volume control. It is a black oval-shaped button with a picture of a sound speaker in the middle. Push it upward to increase volume and downward to decrease volume. Unfortunately, you have to have a flashlight or light on to see it because none of the controls are illuminated.

I have to manually raise the volume for each call that I make. Once I hang up, the volume then reverts to the lower level. Is there a way to permanently raise the volume on my handset?

check on your screen for a "Save" button after you make changes.
If not try googleing your phone model for user instructions (assuming you do not have a book.)
Good luck!

Synergy global supply model 9105 how to set

http://www.synergythesource.com/doc/alarm-clock-setup-910500.pdf

Quick Setup

Model 9105

Alarm Clock Radio

http://www.synergythesource.com/doc/alarm-clock-setup-910500.pdf

1) Plug clock in before making any adjustments.

2) If using on East Coast- Do nothing! Time and date are set to EST- Daylight Savings time is 'On". Clock is ready to use.

3) If using in time zones other than EST. Hold the clock with LCD facing you. Lean clock back and find small button on bottom right marked P-M-C-E. Hold for 2+ sec. LCD will blink the time zone. Press button again until LCD blinks the correct time zone, CST, MNT, PACIFIC.

4) Daylight Savings time- Default is always on. If you are in a zone that does not recognize daylight savings time. Hold the clock facing you, lean clock back and on bottom left is a small button marked D. Hold 2+ seconds and the LCD will blink ON. Press again and LCD will blink OFF. Daylight savings time is now OFF.

5) If power goes out, clock will retain time and alarm will sound if in the ON position.

6) Replace batteries once every year...!

7) If clock looses time or date:

a. Hold Volume +, and Tuner + at same time for 3 seconds

b. Clock face will blink year

c. Turn outer ring of alarm to set Year

d. Press Tuner + once, turn outer ring to set Month

e. Press Tuner + once, set Day

f. Press Tuner +, set Hour

g. Press Tuner +, set Min.

h. Press Tuner + to save all settings.

You must go through all set points to have them remain in memory. (have to run thru all a - h, can't set just Day or Hour/Min, etc. without starting with Year)

I don't know how to set the clock for a MA4203 model

I couldn't find the information for your particular model, but I did figure out the general procedure for Memorex alarm clocks currently in production:

  1. Make sure power is turned off (no radio or whatever playing). Press the Time Set button (on some models, this is the Skip Search Back button for an iPod docked in the unit).
  2. When the display blinks (on one model, the volume control knob lights up), press the Hour button (Vol. -) to set the hour, then press the Minutes button (Vol. +) to set the minutes. On the model with the light-up volume control, rotate the volume control knob to set the time.
  3. When you have the time set, either wait 15 seconds or press the Time Set button again to start the clock.
Setting the alarm works the same way on single alarm models, but the Alarm Set button may be the Skip Search Forward button. Dual alarm models have separate Alarm A and Alarm B buttons.

Wake up with the radio is always set to level 19... I would like to set my radio alarm with a lower volume... my centrios is a Speed to Sound CENTRIOS IPOD/IPHONE CLOCK RADIO I will return this

We also have this problem. Found this info in the product's Q&A on the website: http://answers.thesource.ca/answers/9026/product/1218694/centrios-centrios-ipod-iphone-clock-radio-white-questions-answers/questions.htm

"Ok. there is a way that you can LOWER the wakeup radio volume. turn on the radio (forget about the alarm right now) and go to the station that you want. when you get to the station, you should be able to press the 'skip/fast forward' button on the remote. when you do this, number 5 should show up beside the station #. When you do this, it lowers the overall volume of every volume level, so now level 19 is equal to volume level 9/10, which for me is loud enough to wake me, but not give me a heart attack! so, now when the alarm goes of, the volume is a lot lower. BUT if you want to wake up to your ipod, this method will NOT work, it will still be up at level 19. so when you turn on your ipod, it will be really LOUD. again, this only works with the radio."

Also if you are waking to ipod and not radio this was in the reviews:
"Fooled with it for a bit and discovered that you have to turn down the volume of the iPod first before putting it on the dock. We've tried it a few times just to make sure and it worked every time!!"

Still not a perfect solution, but a great improvement. Hope this helps someone.
