Ge Microwave (above range) sporadically working (power keeps going and off randomly for no reason). What can cause this? Can it be fixed?

Since two nights ago, the power on my GE microwave has been going on and off for no apparent reason. Two nights ago it stopped working (while I was microwaving something) and the control panel went blank. I pushed all the buttons, but nothing worked. I unplugged it and plugged it back in but that did not work. I checked the circuit breaker (it was on), but reset it anyways. The microwave turned back on, but two minutes later it died again. Since then the power (as indicated by the display) keeps going on and off by itself. Mostly off. It is operational when the display/power is on. None of the things I tried (that I mentioned above) has had any effect. Do you know what might be causing this, and how I can check to verify if that is the problem? I'm hoping this is something I might be able to fix myself. Thanks.
