Can I buy a heating element for this heater? - Patton PQH307UM Electric Utility Heater

  • Virgil Watts Dec 16, 2018

My advice is don't buy any product without the service information.& part numbers. If you can't fix it yourself at least you have it for the serviceman. Some parts don't have part numbers on them.

Part number for standard heating element for eco smart 11.3kw?

Go to ecosmartus.com
Click products tab at top of page
Click on your model number
Click on replacement parts tab
Buy part from ecosmart
Or remove element from water heater and look to see if threads are standard water heater element threads... then look at volts and watts printed on end of each element... buy ordinary element if it will work.

Rheem wants folks to buy parts from them... so Rheem tries to convince people that Rheem electric water heaters require special parts.
This is not true... ordinary generic parts will function fine on Rheem.

My heater is not working at all only my power supply light is on

unplug the heater. remove the screws holding the control panel, pull the control out from the body of the heater enough to get the probes of an ohmmeter onto the connections that lead to the heating element. the ohmmeter should read less than 100 ohms. if the ohmmeter reads infinite ohms (open circuit), the heating element or the connections to it ate bad. if the heating element is bad, cheaper to buy a new heater. if the heating element is okay, repair connections or control.

On my Impact Heat Gun IMHG 2000 the heater element failed. Can I buy a new heater element?

Buy a new heat gun at Harbor Freight. They are much cheaper than the new element would be if you were able to find one.

How do I add oil to help heater warm better??

they are a sealed heater you can't add oil to get more heat, if you can must be a new type i haven't seen, but if not hot enough throw away and buy a heater that works they work on the principal that an element heats the oil and runds on an internal thermostat to control temperature of oil, your element may be starting to deteriate the same as hot water you only notice with hot water as it starts to not heat the water as much and you feel this in a shower or bath but you won't notice the same in oil heater it won't heat as it has and it may also be the thermostat, inside heater i wouldn't even bother trying to repair waste of time and money i would buy a proper working heater prefrably one that could be fixed to go better after its starts to deteriate a lttle

Caldera spas hot tub Olympic model blows circuit breaker trying to heat up

Remove all pwoer and then gain access to the heater probe. Read each probe from the center connector treminal to the metal base with an Ohm meter. There should be no reading. If you have low reistance the probe is internally shorted and will need replaced. It is a common failure for a heat probe. If the probe is bad when you do buy a replacement buy the "Coated" element. The extra $15.00 is well worth the investment in the overall lifetime of heating element service.

Replacement elements can be found here
