I recently brought a logic flat screen tv.its all up and running but there is one problem.i'm not getting any sound. when i adjust the volume i it says next to the volume bar that i'm adjusting the headphone volume. now in this situation any normal person would turn to thier manual but the thing is the tv was one of the ones u would look at in the shop so it didnt come with box or manual. any idea?
It looks like you have a headphone jack that normally switches back to speakers when the plug is removed.Your plug is stuck in the phone position. Try to plug in a plug in and out to release the contacks.

Both the laptop and the tv should have a VGA female connector
that will transfer the video. If your tv is a flat screen (meaning newish) then it should also have a headphone jack.
IF the backlights are on but you just get dim glowing on the screen when look at the screen in darkened room then the T-CON board is bad or it is not getting the 12vdc from the main logic board. Need to use logical troubleshooting before buying the wrong parts. Hope this helpout.....
Can be either one of three things 1) logic board, power supply, or unfortunately most likely is your panel. But if I were you I'd get a hold of Toshiba warranty center to diagnose because then they could check voltages with toshiba tech support.
The inverter is bad. Sometimes the logic will go bad due to 3-4 bad capacitors. www.lcdrepair.us will fix the unit for $59 and has a large selection of DELL Parts.
