look at your remote from the comcast cable remote. if you use the comcast remote instead you will have better luck. but if you want to use the tv remote control for the cable box then look at what kind is your cable box? is it Jensen, Gerrade etc. this is what you need not comcast code. the name of the box is your name code you are looking for.

The Comcast remote will unlikely have Olevia codes available since its design age is much older than the set's. In addition, it may never have them since Olevia is bankrupt and probably of little interest to Comcast. You might check Comcast's website since the most recent codes will be available there.

had this problem myself and I assure you that a) Comcast is populated by idiots without training, and b) that Quasar hasn't 'deliberately designed' their tvs to not work with Comcast remotes, which is what Comcast will tell you.
Solution: Add a 1 to the code, ie 10250, 10051 etc. Quasar is a 5 digit code, not 4 as Comcast believes.

First you need a Comcast remote with the center button, OK/Select to be grey. Now program in code 1903 to aux. Works on my FR8 System, same basic as FR9. I was unable to get Comcast remote with red center, OK/Select, to work with any codes.

Go here, it has a viewable manual for the comcast remote and a list of codes. There is also a way to search codes listed. Haven't tried yet, but it can't hurt trying!
