This is how to perform a hard reset on this phone. Take the battery out. Put it back in. Press and hold the following keys at the same time for about 1 to 2 seconds until the touch key backlights turn on: Power/Lock Key and Down Volume Key. As soon as the backlight on the touch keys is turned on, release the keys. Then touch and hold the Home Key until the LG logo is displayed. Your phone will perform the hard reset. Thanks

You can hard reset a couple of ways:
1 -- shut down the phone and pull the battery. 2 -- If the phone will not shut down, pull the battery. 3 -- Go into the settings menu for your phone and reset to factory defaults. NOTE: You will need to re-configure your phone after doing this!!!

First of all do you mean you want to completely wipe every bit of the information off the phone, all of your personal data like the day it was new right? Have you tried to go into settings, backup and restore, and factory reset? That's the easy way but isn't the most thorough do you know anything about recovery?
