My Optoma gt1070x, when powered, lights red and blue simultaneously but no projection.

There's no problem with the bulb, the projector, after working perfectly for over a year, has simply stopped responding, no fan, no anything only the little led light shining a constant red and blue at the same time. Any solutions to this problem?

SOURCE: color problems

i don't know if this will work but..... I have an Optoma h27 and we were having problems with the color and ours is mounted on the ceiling in inverted also; and after two years we started having color problems, come to find out that on the menu there is a option for high altitude and that had been turned to the "off" position (probably by our kids resetting all the options and not turning this one back on)..... after taking it to a tech that cleaned it for $97.00 and said there was no problems he could find, we played around with the remote/menu and came across this high altitude option and when we saw it was on the "off" position, we put it to the "on" position and another fan inside the projector came on and that helps to keep the inside of the projector cool at all time and helps from the color becoming weird..... Try this on yours and hopefully that will solve your problem.

SOURCE: My Optoma projector has the red light come on for

if it is a replacement lamp, was the lamp timer reset after replacement? if it's the original lamp and the projector only has 83 hours on it, there is either a bad lamp or a cooling problem.

SOURCE: I replaced the lamp when and the red LED light

More likely a faulty ballast. Check connections.

Unit will not stay on

Is the fan that cools the projection high intensity bulb running? This sounds like an overheating condition, there is a temp sensor that will shut the machine down if it senses the temp is to high and poses a fire hazard or further damage to the projector.

Optoma hd65 projector new bulb wont turn on...cant reset timer!

I think it's a lamp driver issue from what I've seen others have gone through. I also read that if you go through the sequence of unplugging, plug back in, wait 20 seconds and try to turn on, multiple times, it will finally kick on and work. I just got mine to turn back on by doing this and waiting through the fan cycling without the light turning on. After the 4th sequence the light flickered. After the 7th sequence it finally turned on and is working. Now I can watch the Super Bowl and will look into replacing soon.

I simply shut the projector down (had to pull the power cable) and when starting up again it was working fine and has since then.

Light does not come on -- we replaced the bulb--still dark

Sounds like the lamp timer has reached it's limit. In your users manual you will find the proceedure on replacing the lamp and reseting the timer. Once this is done the projector should work.
