a repair might cost more than the tablet did
if it no longer responds to your finger maybe broke digitizer
you could do a factory reset. and hope it responds to your finger.

What is wrong when gmail does not respond?

There could be many reasons why. Does the tablet have a good wifi signal? Did someone inadvertently change the url, your username and/or password?

Maybe you can try it on another device (computer or smartphone) can you still get in?

It is not the normal behaviour of a new tablet. Don't mess with it. Your tablet is on warranty. Look up where you should take it for a checkup and repair service

Wont turn off or respond is there a reset somewhere ?

Hi there. A reset is done on this tablet by holding the power button for at least 10 seconds. hopefully this will reboot it and it will start responding again.
