Hello, recently my rxv3800 hasnt been turning on every time and today it has stopped all together

I have read a few places that it is potentially this "That problem is well known problem with a memory capacitor on the stand up board that is the control board. It is .47F 5.5 volt capacitor that resembles a button battery" However i am new to working with AV Receivers and i am unsure as to where this is located exactly. Does anyone know if this would be the answer to my problem, replacing the capacitor?

Some Electrolytic capacitors are used as a Battery. A Super Cap.

.47uF is the value rated at 5.5 volts DC

I used to short the leads together on my Amp's Memory Battery & this would cause a memory reset and all would work well for a few months.
Cant tell you where it would be located.

Refrig is not cooling Whirlpool Model ED25qFXt00, ser # sk15459u3; Stop working totally today. has stopped cooling but restarted itself several times over the past month. Should I repair or buy another...

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.
Be sure the BACK COVER is in place and hasnt been accidently removed.

1999 ford expedition. smells like antifreeze in the cab, worse when I turn on air conditioner ?? I saw a leak today at the firewall. I drove it about 5 miles stopped the car and it hasnt leaked...

This is likely the heater core leaking. Once it turns cold you will have foggy windows too.

When the heat is turned off the antifreeze stops flowing through the heater core, once it was all gone the leak would have stopped until the next time you need heat.

Hello, sounds like you may have a engine miss, things like spark plugs, plug wires, fuel injectors can cause a engine miss. you will need to have the system scanned for trouble codes. once a trouble code has been pulled form the system you will have a much better idea what the problem might be

Acer aspire 4720z DVD drive not working

Hey,

it could be a dirty lens. here's a video on the cleaning, its annoyingly loud but shows how to clean the lens with rubbing alcohol.

might want to turn the volume down in advance:

its for a ps2 but the drive is basically the same, and you would clean the lens in the same way.

if this doesn't solve the problem, you would probably have to disassemble the drive completely and get it working properly and put it back together, might want to get the help of a pro for that.

Last option is to replace the dvd drive completely, it will definitely solve the problem, You can buy such a drive from few places, few come to mind, for example, www.ebay.com, www.pchub.com and www.acerparts.com

Let me know how that goes,
Thanks,
Ekse

Two rams stopped working in intel d101ggc from today

You've got either mismatched RAM memory or 1 of your sticks are bad. You can isolate this by booting 1 stick at a time. If the machine boots fine with both sticks (one at a time) then they are mismatched or your motherboard isn't configure to handle the 2 sticks together (not very likely but a possibility) Hope this clarifies your problem All the best!

I have recently bought an automatic td5 2004 with 73000 miles

Sounds like you may have a air leak on your fuel line if the pump is working a lot. Unless the ticking is as you turn the key in which case it's more of a click and is in fact the starter solenoid. May be best to re-post in the 2004 discovery section though as the 1997 is a 300-tdi and different animal all together.
