Why are there only two dots when I power on?

1. Make sure that you have the correct power supply plugged in.
2. If you are using the BOSS power supply, it could be defective. Measure the voltage it is producing and make sure it is correct.
3. If the voltage is correct, then the problem is inside the unit, and it will need servicing.

Boss ME-70 distortion changing mid play why.

Is distortion changes like we turn the OD/DS selector (changes to Boost-Natural-OD1-Blues etc)?
If so, the OD/DS potentiometer need to replace.24346541-2ss5ycyvkoajtv035dpuezke-4-0.jpg

If the changes are like increasing/decreasing GAIN/BASS/MID/TREBLE/LEVEL and also TYPE of pre-amp, then one of PREAMP potentiometer is bad.24346541-2ss5ycyvkoajtv035dpuezke-4-1.jpg

When I turn on my BOSS RC-20XL Loop Station the reverse, tap tempo, write, exit and one shot phase start to blink rapidly and I cannot get them back to normal. Therefore, I am unable to use my loop...

Hi. I had the same problem and fixed it by clearing all the phrases. An explanation of how to do this is below (written by someone else, not me) But, expect your guide beat to now sound like a fuzz instead of a drum. This really sucks and there is apparantly no fix for the guide sound except to send it back to Boss. Good luck.

1. Start by selecting Phrase 1.

(if the 'REVERSE' or 'AUTO START' are lit press them off.)

2. Select 'INST & MIC' by pressing 'MODE'

3. Hold down 'EXIT' and 'AUTO START' together - at the same time, this should light up the green LED for 'LOOP PHASE'

4. Hold down 'WRITE' and 'EXIT' together
then hold 'WRITE' on its own
then 'WRITE' and 'EXIT' together again...as if you were clearing a phrase.

they should light up in red and flash, if not try a combo of section 4.

5. Repeat on all Phrases 1 - 11.

How to reset the pedal 25 ME? thank you.

You can restore the settings in the ME-25 (memories, tuner

reference pitch, and knob response method) to the values set when

the unit was shipped from the factory.

Performing a factory reset causes all settings saved in memory to be

lost. If you want to keep the memory settings, use the ME-25 Librarian

(p. 11) to save them on a computer.

1.

Hold down [EXIT] and press the MEMORY DOWN

pedal at the same time.

"FA" appears in the display.

2.

Press [WRITE].

The Tuning Guide flashes.

3.

Press [WRITE] again.

The display flashes and the factory reset is executed.
Never turn off the power while factory reset is in progress.

There is a constant loud hum/buzz whenever I turn the pedal on. With my Boss Mt 2 Metal Zone effects pedal. It happens whether or not the power supply is plugged in. Ive tried switching cables and...

First and foremost , check your signal chain. By that, i mean put the pedal aside, ...just unhook it and take it out of your signal path. Using the same cables , guitar , amp, other pedals - borrow a friends MT-2 if you can get one , and try THAT to see if THAT works , OR any other kind of distortion pedal. If another one works ok , it's YOUR MT-2. Boss pedals are pretty rugged , but sometimes the little actuator (on/off switch) underneath the treadle (where you push your foot down) will become faulty. That's a high-gain pedal - are you using a basic Strat or other single-coil pickup guitar? If so , are you playing close to any flourescent lights? SIngle coils are noisy around those lights. Will cause a hum / buzz if using a heavy dist. pedal. You can check that by moving around as you play.
