I just bought a singer 4423 and can not find the size bobbin it uses Says there is a difference between class 66, 15 and 15J but doesn't tell you what is correct

Make sure the needle is threaded properly. If the thread is going through the needle in the wrong direction, the thread won't be picked up.

The slider on the back of the machine that raises or lowers the dogs is incapable of dislodging the thingamajig when it is gently lodged on the shaft.

My Singer Heavy Duty 4423 has a problem getting the bobbin thread to come up

First make sure the needle is the correct size and fully inserted into the machine. Test

Then if that doesn't solve the problem check the timing.

Hi, have tried to use buttonhole feature on singer 4423. Dog feed teeth have dropped - won't come back up and the material isn't feeding though. Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Reverse feed dogs on Singer 4423 Remove extension table so you can see switch on BACK of machine @ left side. Flip switch to raise feed dogs up. If machine actually sewing in reverse - check n Buttonhole adjustment. Reset it (located bottom right side machine) Jimmy
