Air Innovations cool mist humidifier model #MH-512- leaks water no matter what I do. Cleaned it. New filter. Keeps leaking. 2nd one I've had do the same.

The soft silicone gasket that fits around the container and base of the water reservoir must be dry, flat in place, and even all around to make a good seal. The unit must be LEVEL and not crooked or leaning in any one direction. If you have a leak, other than the gasket is a defect of the molded case or parts. If its within the warranty terms, return it for a replacement.

What controls how much water flows into an Aprilaire 550? It was fine until a couple of days ago. I replaced filter, but it still appears to be too strong. It not only runs out the drain tube but is...

In the water line where it connects to the solenoid is an orifice. You can install a smaller plastic orifice or you can install a manual feed valve to where you can control the flow.

Water runs out of the bottom of the unit

Check your plastic water orifice. It is in the hose fitting connected to the outlet tube of the water solenoid. It should be a blue one. Mine was completely eaten through, allowing full water flow, and thus overflowing the distribution tray. I replaced mine yesterday and no more water drips. May as well reflace the filter on the inlet tube of the solenoid at the same time. I used a piece of very stiff, but thin, wire formed into a small hook to remove both old parts. Replacements are readily available from multiple sources on line.

The Aprilaire is leaking around the casing attached to furnace

How old is the filter? Filters should be replaced every year. If its a new filter check to make sure the little hose is inside the hole at the tom of the filter.

Water leaking out of bottom

A leaking humidifier is a sign that the unit's filter needs to be cleaned/changed. I had the exact same problem on this model.

Humidifier leaks

My Air-O-Swiss U7142 has a leak from the very bottom. I found that as long as the water flows on to the "pan" that evaporizes the water, the water will come out from the bottom. Does anybody know how to fix this?
