I was vacuum and the machine worked for 5-7 minutes than went with a sickening sound and quit on me....dead, dead...I CANNOT FIND MY MANUAL.PLEASE HELP

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Bissell 3590 Cleanview Bagless Upright Vacuum. The vacuum is less than a one year factory warranty and the best thing to do is to contact the Bissell Factory to see where the nearest factory authorized dealer is in your area including there address and phone # and they should be able to fix or repair the vacuum under the factory warranty. Also, you can order an owner’s manual from the factory and to give them the model # and serial # and they will send one out in the mail or they will instruct you to download the owner’s manual from the Bissell website. My dog chewed through the power cord (luckily unplugged). Are there replacement parts available and I can't seem to find out to detach the cord from the unit.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. It sounds to me that you may have a pump problem or the trigger assm or water release valve below the water holding tank is bad are the 3 things that I can think of for now.

Usually the Bissell needs a genuine cord because there is a special grommet or cord protector that goes into the bottom of the Bissell of the machine or sometimes you can use a replacement cord and then also use a replacement cord protector as well to replace the cord. If you have a problem then contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or contact the Bissell factory cust service to get an owner’s manual for the Bissell. I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. You may check your owner’s manual to see how to replace the belt, but normally the belt is replace under the top cover by removing 2 to 4 screws and the top cover will come off to replace the belt. As far as maintenance it is a good idea to replace a flat belt every 4 to 6 months for the best cleaning and if it is a v belt or geared belt then the belt change would be once a year.
