The HVAC climate control display isn't working. The fuse inside is good. Where do I check nesxt?

The connector for the blower resistor got hot and melted. The dash display for the climate control isn't working. The fuse for the display isn't blown but now I don't have power to the two HVAC fuses. Where should I look?

Hi Anonymous, Randy here I 'll see if I can help you with your problem. By chance have you Looked under the hood in your engine bay on the fender there should be a black box, this is the Power Distribution Box it contains Fuses, Relays, etc. This carries the Higher load fuses and such. Please let me know what you find, Hope this helps and Good Luck.

AC blower won't work on the AC on a 06 Equinox what could be the problem

Have you checked voltage and ground for blower motor? in the diagram, the top wire at blower motor is voltage. The purple wire, bottom wire from blower motor is ground. You can see blower fuse at the top, hot all the time. The blower motor on/off, different speeds are controlled on the ground circuit. You can take two wire connector loose from blower motor, use both ends of test lite at wiring connector terminals, turn on key, turn on hvac and blower controls, if the lite comes on, you have voltage and ground. If good voltage and ground with no blower action, suspect the blower motor. I couldn't post whole diagram and make it readable. The problem could be almost anywhere, with the wiring? I can only help with testing. good luck

2011 and 2006 Chevy Express blower will not work on High

blower speed-undefined-undefined-0.jpg have you checked voltage and ground for blower motor? At the blower motor, red wire is voltage, black wire is ground. You can take two wire connector loose from blower motor, use both ends of testlight on connector wire terminals, Key on--hvac controls on--hi speed. If the lamp comes on, you have voltage and ground good enough for test lamp. If you have good voltage and ground for blower motor and the motor doesn't run, suspect the blower motor. If the lamp doesn't come on, your missing either voltage or ground? In stead of using wire connector ground, you could use chassis ground, clean metal spot, probe red wire, If lite doesn't come on, your missing voltage and you'll have to backtrack circuit. See the top right fuse, 40 amp fuse, that fuse is only for hi speed. Not only check the fuse, use a test light check fuse for voltage, hot all the time. If you follow that wire down, in diagram, you see it goes to switch side of relay, left side in diagram. When that relay is energized that short line moves to other terminal carries voltage for hi speed. The control side of relay, right side in diagram, needs voltage and ground in order to energize. If it doesn't energize, no voltage hi speed. Orange wire is voltage for control side, black wire is ground. I can only help with testing, good luck.

HEATER NOT WORKING ON 03 YUKON

Heater not working ???? Blower motor not working , no air blowing out of the vent's. defrost , floor ? I'm assuming you have the manual HVAC - climate control system , by the fact that you replaced the resistor assembly . Was there a relay included on the resistor assembly ? What fuse's did you replace ? HTR/AC - 30 amp. left I/P fuse box , BLOWER fuse -40 amp - under hood fuse box ? Did you use a DMM - digital multi-meter an test for B+ voltage at the purple wire at the blower motor ? The fuse's you replaced ,check for B+ voltage with meter .
Your vehicle could have two different HVAC systems , manual & automatic. The automatic system doesn't have a resistor assembly , has a blower motor control processor. Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's ?

2002 jeep grand cherokee heater fan wont turn on when you turn the dial.

Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's , looking at a wiring diagram so you know what all is involved in the blower motor circuit . Using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test the circuit . Free wiring diagram's here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click HVAC ,then under subsystem click on HVAC controls . Click the search button then the blue link .The thing's that could be wrong , blower motor it's self , the blower motor controller for automatic climate control , a blown fuse -but fuse's don't just blow for no reason - short to ground maybe ! 40 amp fuse #1 in the under hood fuse box . Blower motor resistor block if your vehicle has manual climate control .

Why wont my a/c or heater fan come on?

When the blower works only on the high setting its usually a bad blower resistor which is right near the blower motor. now you say it would always blow high regardless of the fan speed setting that would indicate probably the climate control unit or a connector problem somewhere. finally it not working at all may be the climate control unit or connection went bad even further. it might have a blown fuse or a bad blower motor in addition to the climate control unit or connector problem .check for power and ground at the blower motor. the power is supplied from fuses and may have a relay also. the ground is supplied from the climate control unit and goes through the resistor to control the fan speed. good luck

My 2005 gmc yukon rear a/c or heat blower will not come on front a/c and heat work well

{: ) If the front a/c and heater is working fine, that's good. At least the problem can be isolated on the rear HVAC circuits only.
Check first the RR HVAC fuse 30amp at the underhood fuseblock and the IGN 3 fuse 10amp at the IP fuseblock. If you found them good, then you can begin diagnosing the blower circuits wirings and connectors.
A faulty blower definitely will not give any output. If it doesn't spin for some reason, rear a/c or heating cannot be circulated.
A faulty blower resistor or speed control processor can also cause a zero air output. Sometimes, the blower may only work at certain speeds only.
A faulty rear HVAC control switch may not give the proper signals to the blower resistor or speed controller, and in turn will render the blower motor disabled.
Sometimes it can be a terminal connector being loose or burnt. However, the most usual cause for this type of problem is a faulty blower resistor.

Fan blower does not turn on I replaced blower, resistor and even a relay but does not work. So I ran a power wire from battery to resistor and it works what can be the problem?

The heater control, where you turn it on,and off, pull it out,it is most likely burned up where the connector attaches to the switch, and the connector, will most likely have to be replaced.

Blower fan only works on high

CHECK THE HVAC CTRL FUSE.

WITH A TEST LIGHT CHECK THE BLOWER RESISTOR FOR POWER ON THE YELLOW, TAN, PURPLE, AND LIGHT BLUE WIRES. THE ORANGE WIRES CONTROL THE HIGH SPEED CIRCUIT. DO THIS FOR EACH POSITION OF THE BLOWER SWITCH.

THE BROWN WIRE ON THE HVAC CONTROL CONNECTOR 1 POSITION B COMES FROM THE HVAC FUSE 20 AMP. NO POWER ON THAT WIRE WILL CAUSE THE BLOWER TO NOT FUNCTION ON THE LOWER SPEEDS.
