You can replace with elna rubycon FRAKO or F&T caps a good size , but aware that you will have the capacity exactly the same and the voltage a 10 volt higher because of new capacitors of the same value can have a smaller size with the same voltage and capacity and the little size format can be giving a not nice sound but also all replacement capacitors in the beginning have a 2 days neccesary Black-gate or some ELNA caps much longer before it will sounds good , if you have had leaking caps like the brand of ITT if used especially the big blue ones, or nichicons clean the print outdoors with a nose pliers use on a canister gaslighter gas and spray on the free positions on the print where the leaking capacitors where placed and also to clean the whole print . it removes conductive materials and also if you have ones in your life have wallpapered indoors and have prepared wallpaper paste and this amp was in the same room you have luck by this tip because methyl cellulose can be highly conductive eventually creep and especially static seen very high electric malfunctions if you get your fingers on places without cleaning also after years !!! , and now you have your amplifier open and wish to customize it its your chance to prevent hidden faults, especially if you want to brush up on vintage equipment with analogue techniques. Yamaha vintage capacitors if you have a capacitance meter you will see if you have a capacitor that looks good in most times if you measure it you have sometimes a remarkable value because the capacitors have a strange tolerance that will not deformed down but to high 100 mf can be have an capacitance of 230 mf too great tolerance that is not a problem if all the capacitors are not replaced , but if you have checked this you will know you must replace ALL the capacitors at the same time (not the very little ones ) but measure is important or there are components that will be burning out , strange and remarkable but it could happens. good luck .

Look in the circuit board area where the power cord mates with it for capacitors that have bulging tops (instead of the flat tops that are normal). If you see even one, you need to replace all the large capacitors othe power supply section (normally around 5 or 6).

Panasonic Plasma TC-50PU54 LF21030116 Power light blinks 8 times When I attempt to power on it turns on for split second then shuts down. Is this fixable? thanks.

Yes. It is probably a problem with the internal power circuitry. The power supply of your television have problem, abnormal output. The power supply have three output voltage, 5Vdc,12Vdc and 24Vdc.The output voltage is too low because of leak capacitor at the power supply. You can identify the leak capacitor through visual checking, when the top othe capacitor is rounded shape. The good capacitor is flat shape at the top.Try to replace all leak capacitor. If you can't do the repair.Call the repair man.thanks.

The screen comes on for about 5 to 6 seconds then goes to a sleep like mode,,,but if i tap the input button the next mode i choose will do the same thing

It's very likely a problem with some of the capacitors in the power supply area. You can search for similar fixes here on this site. I'm ordering parts now for mine. Two of the eight tall/blue capacitors in a bunch have tops that are bulging (but I'll replace all eight since they're cheap). There's a pair of two in the middle of the same board on mine with bulging tops and there are four transistors in that same area that look like they got too hot. Most people seem to be getting away with only replacing the bulged capacitors but here is my total part list from digikey.com:
785-1106-1-ND quantity 2 (the D405-marked transistors) 785-1114-1-ND quantity 2 (the D408-marked transistors) P12389-ND quantity 8 (the 470uF capacitors) P12383-ND quantity 2 (the 220uF capacitors)
The total part list is about $7.50 with another $2.50 or less shipping. It's a pain to take apart, given the small connectors inside. The fix assumes you have soldering skills.
Go with these from digikey versus Radio Shack. They're rated for 220 degrees fahrenheit versus only 85 degrees and they're about a third less cost.

The monitor screen will not come up with the computer it turns on but will not boot up. The model number is fpd2185w

The problem is more often than not cause by the processor failure. But check the VGA cable for tamper or cuts.Try dismantling the board from all the serial bus, ATX wires and others.Clean up the whole system with a blower ( Remember to apply a good thin layer of heatsink compound paste on the processor and and re-install the whole peripherals. Then power on the system and try bringing up the BIOS setup. If that comes up fine, then re-install the OS an enjoy. Otherwise you need to get a new processor.

Gateway power up issue after standby

Most common parts that go bad are rge DC filter caps in the power supply and in the inverter circuits, that will be th first place to look, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps here:

Planar 2010M auto adjust

This may be related to a power supply problem that these monitor have. I think you need to fix the power supply board inside the display itself. It's giving the logic board and backlights fluctuating power and they have weird / intermittant problems.
There is a supplier of power boards online, you can google them with numbers from the board but I don't suggest using them. Look for information on the company before you buy from them. I've seen a lot of complaints for this "international" company.

First check that you are getting a strong 12V from the external power adapter. If so, the problems may be as simple as changing out a few capacitors. (about $8 in new capacitors, plus shipping)

On the PL2010M monitors you need the following parts. I've added digikey part numbers to make life easier:

P10271-ND 220UF 25V Capacitor (3 or 4 depending on PS)
P10275-ND 470UF 25V Capacitor (1)
P10221-ND 470UF 10V Capacitor (4)

If you're not comfortable with soldering and de-soldering electronics, take it to a local technician for the work and give them the parts list above. That should work to fix your issues. I've fixed several of these monitors so far. All the problems were related to the power supplies having bad capacitors. Same with the Planar PL1700 LCD monitors.
There is also a single capacitor on the display logic board, but I haven't seen this one go bad yet.
Good luck!
