Power surge damage during electrical storm on 01/01/2011, no display plus oven control erratic.

I'd be contacting my home owners insurance company and local power company.Local power companies will offer to repair for free in most cases.

Touch pad is not working after electrical storm.

there is a thermal fuse in line with the power supply to the control . If it is open then the control will not light up.

The oven was continuously beeping last night. Hit everything on the display setup to try to get it to stop. Eventually it shut off all together(the beeping and display) not the only thing that is showing...

Ok. this is a control fault. the chip set is damaged. this will usually happen when there is a surge or power failure during a storm or faulty transformer on the outside pole. you Will need to replace this damaged Electronic control board if possible . it has failed.

You can confirm my diagnosis by cutting the power to the oven for 5 minutes. this will reset the control. if the oven continues to react this way with the constant beeping and, non action, this will confirm major control failure..It is possible that this reset will recognize the program and fix this fault but, normally, a fault of this nature will require the replacement of the Oven control board.
