Greetings!

please remember the purpose of having a external micro sd memory in a tablet is mainly for media/ work / school purposes. most your going to be able to put on the cards is information relative to what i just told you and application that you have download from your APPLICATION STORE depends on the OS ( operating system you have on your tablet will determine how you can move them from your tablets internal memory to the tablets external sd card memory

here is a bing search on how to move items from internal memory to external for both tablets and phone. i suggest you watch multiple videos and refine your search based upon your OS and continue to search.

My tablet has small internal storage. so I have put everything I can on the sd card. the os is moving things back to internal storage and I have to move them all back again and again! Is there a fix?

SD cards are too small (not sufficient memory space) for your files. You need to use USB Flash Drives. Cost is dependent on the storage space you need. Always REMOVE Cards/USB Devise with the EJECT Command. Do not simply pull them out by hand because they are sensitive to Static Charge and can blow out.

Just Purchased an All winner 10" tablet model #TD9300D says has internal storage (total 504 mb) (121 mb avail) SD card total (4.66 GB) (avail 4.66 GB) Can't download-no room no setting to sd card

The internal storage of that tablet (which I have never heard of before) is extremely tiny. You would need to delete any unused apps to free up space. I think that there are restrictions as to what can be saved to SD memory.

How to down load films to a 32 GB card Hudle2.Thanks

OK, to accomplish this you need 2 hings:
1. A micro sd card. (Which I gather you already have one)
2. File manager installed in your tablet.

Now, if the tablet support micro sd card, you are all set. Download the file manager, it could be Astro, ES File Explorer, etc...
Once installed, open the file manager. The tablet storage, which is known as internal storage, it is display as sdcard/storage (or sometimes as internal storage). Once you tap the internal storage, everything that is installed in your tablet will be display; (Android, DCIM, etc...) Now you need to look where are the pictures or films saved at. It is usually DCIM/Camera. Once you have found the pictures that you want to move or copy, long tap the films, depending on the file manager app, you must tap copy or move (NOTE: Since every file manager is different, some takes a little bit of extra steps, others requires for you to open a menu). Once you had chose to copy or to move it, look for the external sd card location, which will also be located at sd card/storage/ (32gb external storage) and choose this location to paste your films or pictures.
Another way is by using a computer. Make sure that you have all the drivers needed for the computer to recognize your tablet, you also need the usb charge cable. Once the computer recognize it when the tablet is plug in to the computer, open it by double clicking, there should be 2 storage display under the tablet folder: Internal storage and 32gb. external storage. Open the internal storage, look for where the films are saved (just like I explained with the file manager), choose the films that are to be move or copy, and jus drag and drop or press ctrl and C to copy, go to the external storage, open it and press ctrl and V to paste.

How do I download apps onto this device?

The default on most tablets is to install apps to internal storage so the SD card does no good by itself. You can go into Settings>Applications and change the location for each app to the SD card. Likewise anything else you put on a tablet, particularly photos and videos get stored in internal storage. If you have taken a lot of photos and videos they can fill up your storage quickly. You can change this in the Camera app by tapping the settings icon and changing the storage option to SD card. You will still need to actually move existing photos and videos to the SD card manually or copy them to external storage and delete them. I would also change the image and video resolution in Camera settings to 640x480. This is plenty good enough for pictures you just want to look at on the device or share online.

How do you move internal storage to the sd card to free up internal space

touch the "Settings" icon, go down to the "Device" area, touch the "Storage" icon : go to the bottom of the screen, and select "Transfer data to SD card", then select the items you want to move.

You should also move some apps from internal storage to the SD card : "Settings", "Device", and touch "Applications" : then touch each and every application : for most of them, the button "Move to SD card" will be active, just proceed.

How does ram vs internal storage work on tablet?

There are 2 storage in just about every smartphone or tablet. There is an internal storage, usually about 1gb. or 2gb. And there an internal SD storage, which is not same as the external micro sd card. RAM stands for Read Access Memory, it will not work as storage. Now, when you download an app it is usually save in the internal storage. If you move an app without an external micro sd card inserted, you are moving them to the internal SD storage. If possible got to setting>storage and check how is the storage divided, if you insert the external micro sd card it should display 3 separate bars. Also, another way to move apps and other things around is by using ES File Explorer. Check that out first and I hope you do resolve the problem, best of luck.

I broght a new sdcard and my tablet is still saying insufficient space....What do i do to get some more space..

Download and install a utility app that cleans the tablet's internal storage. You can also move your music/video/pictures/audiobooks/ebooks, even some apps from the tablet's internal storage to the SD card.

I have an irulu tablet. I inserted a 32gb sd card. It says it is mounted and when i try to install an app from the google play store i get the message there is insuficient space available. how do i get it...

Most apps do not natively install to an SD card when downloaded from the play store. You have to have an app like AppManager, that has a function to 'move' apps from internal storage to an SD card, or use a manual option in the Android Settings section to move each app individually.. If you are that tight on space that you cannot load any new app, you may have to delete or move something from your internal storage so you can download AppManager or some similar app, and then move as many apps as you can to your SD card. If you have a lot of photos and music you can try moving that to the SD card if your player/viewer software will allow you to find it there. Best way to move bulk items (music/photos, not apps) is to connect to a PC through USB, which brings up your internal storage and the SD card as external USB storage items. Then copy from internal storage to SD card through your PC. Best to establish folders on the SD card to hold these items and then tell your app where they are.
