The Samsung Alias can only use up to 2gb microSD cards. I had this same problem after purchasing a 12 gb card only to discover that I could not use it with this phone. Hopefully this will be fixed when they make the Alias 2.
Hi there and welcome to Fixya.
You have to format it in the camera. So double check your menu. Not sure what camera you have, but there is usually what's called a low level format. It's found in the Setup menu. Turn the camera off, pull the card out, remove the batteries. Wait 5 minutes, then reinsert the batteries and the card. Turn on the camera and look for low level format in the Setup menu. That should work, and thanks for coming to FixYa. Let me know if you have any other problems.
If this memory card will be connected to a camera you can simply put the memory card to the camera and there you can format it using the camera's menu, you can also format this memory card using a card reader that will be connected to your computer, just put the memory to a card reader then connect it to the computer that way you can also format the memory card....
If you are only using the card in a PC then when you plug the card into pc,it shows as a drive under my computer, you rt on the drive and pick format, fat.
If you are using a sd card for anything else such as a phone, you format the card with the phone,or whatever devise it is being used in, and you DO NOT format the card with the PC.
yes this is correct, you can only have the same size memory card as what your iriver was originally. eg when I bought mine it was a 2GB so there for I could only add a 2GB memory card in it giving me a total of 4GB. if you buy a SD card of the same GB you wont have a problem
it might be due to the fact that you garmin cannot read AAC music format(the format itunes uses). try using windows media player to rip the CD then put the music on the card using windows media player. this should take care of your issue.
connect the card in memory card reader and got to mycomputer-->right click-->manage-->disk management. see weather you memory size is correct or not if its different right click the memory card and delete the partation then create a new partation
