Freezer is not maintaining temp. Code on digital display says FF

You have a bad freezer fan and need to replace it. The fan is located behind the back wall INSIDE the freezer. The unit will warm up a little because the air wont circulate the way it is supposed to. You can try unplugging fridge for 30 seconds to reset the control board u can do it yourself although I don't recommend it because u need actual diagnosis but this seems it hope it helps try buying part from sears or amazon

Google your problem with the mfr. and the code ff and it will give you solutions. Do this if you don't have a manual or call dealer.

This code is not to be confused with the O FF or demo mode error message. The "Er FF" error code indicates a problem with the unit's freezer fan. The freezer fan controls the temperature in the freezer. The source of this error is most likely ice buildup. As with the Er IF error, allowing the unit to thaw should resolve the issue. Sounds like the FF(Freezer Fan) is wearing out or is worn out. This assembly supplies the circulation for the freezer as well as the refrigerator. When is slows down or stops the circulation of cold air to the refrigerator is the first thing that is effected. The minimum cost to replace this assembly is around $300.00

check your service manual and see what it say about err ff

ER FF is a freezer fan error. Basically the mainboard is not receiving a feedback signal from the freezer fan motor within 65 seconds. When this happens the error code will come up and then none of the buttons will work.

You can clear out the error code by unplugging and plugging the machine back in. The error code will come back if the problem persists. Check around the freezer fan motor fan blades to see if ice buildup is interfering with the operation. Clearing out this ice may fix the issue.

If the problem comes back, then the fan motor may be getting ready to go out or the unit may not be defrosting properly.

I believe the FF would mean a thermistor has an open circuit . If so then the sensor would need to be replaced .You can ohm the sensor and at room temp it should be around 1100 ohms.

FF is your freezer fan. You may need to defrost the unit.

Based on your weird display issues I'd lean toward the control board problem. At least that can be "one" of a couple problems...
