Loud squealling noise instead of voices - Sony Bravia KDL-46V4100 46 in. LCD HDTV

Looks daunting to start with but just done mine,
remove top and all rear covers and rear panel after removing drum split washer, pump hoses, belt and elec connection, remove the drum and you will see where the felt seal goes. i had some felt i cut to 12mm wide and siliconed it in place, left to dry for 6 hrs, now runs fine.

yes,the most coomon defect for poer tools are carbon brushes.But,git attention also to the gears,bushings, and bearings if there are loosen parts.Also you get rid to a debris or any small dirt particles that maybe sunctioned by the fan and has been entered in the body of the drill thats why you can hear an squealling noise..Just open and clean it.

The squealing noise coming from your dryer is caused by the front glides located on the top bearing, they act like a pad against the drum and when gone, will make an awful squealing. part number for the 4 glides that may be needed is WE3X87 this is a common problem as it is a wearable part. if you don`t replace these in time it will grind all the way through your top bearing and start to deteriorate your drum. if its been like this for a while you may also need a GE drum bearing they come in short and long sizes. and are relatively cheap to replace.hope this helps

This is a symptom of a bad CV joint.

sounds like shims on brakes, or lack of them
thin bits of metal to stop squeel

Could be felt pads and nylon glides on the front drum support are deteriorated.
Could be a sticky build up on the rear drum rollers.
Could be a worn belt tension roller.

Unplug the dryer.
Remove the front panel.
Remove the front drum support.
Remove the belt and drum
Inspect the items listed above.
Replace as needed.

the cutter wheels in side the machine needs to be lubricated. use a silicone lube. like tri-flo. Spray the lube where you put the paper

Its hard to say what it is but it could be one of 2 things, either the belt ore the main bearing is gone. but my first guesss would be the belt.

THE SUPPORT AND SPIN BEARING IS BAD . WHEN THIS GOES BAD IT DESTROYS THE LOWER SEAL. MAJOR REPAIR . CHECK WARRANTY IT MAY BE COVERED. OTHER WISE REPLACE MACHINE.
