What do you mean by 200 thread? If that is a thread weight, it could be the problem. Very heavy weight or very light weight threads will generally not work well in a sewing machine without some adjustments.

Install a brand new needle.

Remove the thread from the machine.

Try a different thread. Some machines are finicky when it comes to thread (brand, weight, and thread material). So try different threads to see if it makes a difference. Generally, if thread breaks within a few inches of beginning stitching, then the machine is usually threaded incorrectly or the thread is hanging up on the spool pin, thread spool, or wrapped around a guide.

RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Make sure the tension is set somewhere at the midway point between the high & low number. Verify with the owner's manual that the correct threading sequence has been followed.

Retest.

I have the CE 150 Futura and my thread is breaking, am I threading it right at the top the diagram is confusing that came with the machine.

If the 150 is like my 200 there is a spindle underneath the clear plastic piece on the top of the machine. If you do not get the thread around that hidden spindle it will either break or read as broken every time. It is the weirest think because you cannot actually see the little hidden spindle but you can feel the thread pop behind it if you get it right. Good luck.

Why is my thread always doing birdnest and going oround my feeder and breaking my needle

It sounds like you do not have it threaded right, completely rethread it and make sure that you have a fresh needle in the machine. Reread your manual, I am sure that something is wrong in the top threading. If, you misplaced your manual go to singerco.com and download it for free.

Say the thread is broken but it isnt

Make sure your software is up to date. "Live Update" under "Help" submenu.
If software is updated make sure the upper thread is inside the thread sensor area. Check Machine Tutorial for proper threading.

Have futura 200. Was embroidering a design and

I had the same problem, go head with machine off and embroidery unit off also turn wheel toward you. If it still won't go try winding a bobbin that is what happened with mine it seemed to undo the stiffness. You can also take the cap off the wheel and make sure there is no thread wound around it.
Good luck if this does not work there are other tips but it would take all night to email all the steps.

I am trying to do letter embroidery on my Futura 350 and I keep getting constant error messages about thread breaking even when there is no visible sign of that. Also, the bobbin thread side is bunching...

Check out your threading with "Machine setup" Tutorial under Help submenu and whether the thread tension control on the front panel is set to "E".

P.S. The error message about thread breakage appears not only when the thread is really broken but if the sewing speed is not changing smoothly (for example if design is not optimised).

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. While threading the top part you’ll need to pull the thread back and forth in the top thread guide and check the tail in front is not curly. If still the issue persists, then it means that the machine has a bad thread sensor on it and needs to be replaced. In this case you can return the machine and get a new one instead to take the gain of the warrantee.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

The thread keeps breakijng when I am embroidering

It could just be that your needle is blunt and you need to put a new one in. It is amazing how many different problems a blunt needle can cause. Hope its sorted now.
