Why does my tv show no picture only sound

    I have had my tv for two and a half years I did take it to a tv repair shop and was told the y sustain and y buffer board's burned out but there is a 50/50 chance it may burn out in a couple day due to a short in the screen. Don't know if I should pay him to buy the parts and fix it or not

Please try to play first any DVD movies or any recorded shows to determine if the problem is on the TV,remote or in the signal reception or cable satellite/aerial antenna connection or reception...

If the problem still there when you play DVD..Just add a comment to post what happen..

Plasma TV's are no longer available. Even if you decide to repair....at minimal you will need to replace three boards. Power supply, buffer boards and sometimes a Y board. At its best it may operate for three months and go down. This TV has served its purpose. Shop new. Thanks for asking, Matt of Martins TV Repair.

LG 50" plasma tv
call 877-543-8325 this is an LG Executive call center and they will fix this for free. I have a 50" plasma I bought january 2006 which is out of warranty by 5 months. They faxed me and the LG repair shop a 30 day warranty for my tv to cover the repair. Just tell them you heard a pop and in my case the picture is distorted. All they need is the model number and serial number and they should take care of it. No arguing needed.
