I can't get the child lock to deactivate on my Seimens S12-38 washing machine. Anybody got a solution?

look for a button with possibly a lock emblem beside it ..usually has to be held down 3-5 sec to unlock

unplug the machine completely and plug it back in. Wait a second & it should deactivate.

SOURCE: need to disable child lock

If you didnt lock the unit yourself - the ECU is failed and needs replacement.

Try this procedure to deactivate child lock on your washing machine:--- On Siemens washing machine to deactivate child lock set program to Easy-Care and hold option down arrow for 5 seconds. ---------------- set mode to rinse & then hold option down arrow for 5 seconds (toggles on/off). ---------------- -Set the mode to cottons, (dial clockwise once)
