Most dryers are driven by a belt around the drum, motor and tention pulley. Check the belt.

Dryer will run and heat but will not turn

It sounds like your drive belt might be broken you can get a new one if you go to www.repairclinic.com enter in your model number and it should cost around 9$ the other possibility is the tension pulley or if it doesn't sound like your motor is running but most likely the drive belt .

Dryer gets hot want tumble. breakers are ok... tumbler has resistance but turns....

From what you are stating either the belt has broken or the motor quit working. Only way to tell is take dryer apart. Go to appliancepartspros.com put in model number and you will get schematics on your dryer, this will show you where all parts are located.

My Whirlpool Gas Dryer Estate Model # TGDS680BW1 will not tumble when I turn it on but the motor still runs. How can I fix it?

The problem is likely the dryer belt . Here is a video on replacing a dryer belt. It may be a different model but the process will be the same. You can also enter in your model # for diagrams and illustrations. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.
