How do i change the bulb in a brother hi speed cooker microwave . It is about 30 years old and works very well

If no access from the front you will have to get at it from the back. Remove the back covers, the light socked will probably be held in place by a few screws or clamps. remove the entire assembly as one unit, replace the bulb and re-install.

Replace bulb

oven bulbs are special bulbs only available from an oven service agent
although the ratings are the same , the glass used is actually pyrex glass as ordinary glass will not handle the oven temperatures

Replace light in KEMC378KSS microwave

The oven lights are 12-volt, 5-watt maximum halogen bulbs. They
will come on when the oven door is opened. On double oven
models, both upper and lower lights will come on when either
door is opened. The oven lights will not work during the Self-
Cleaning cycle. When the oven door is closed, press OVEN
LIGHT to turn them on or off.
To Replace:
Before replacing, make sure the oven is off and cool.
1. Disconnect power.
2. Remove glass light cover by grasping the front edge and
pulling away from oven

3. Remove bulb from socket.
4. Replace bulb, replace bulb cover by snapping back into wall.
5. Reconnect power.

How to change light bulb in microwave?

Found this post on another fixya-type site: below is the link..
Here's a repeat of Kai's instructions so you don't have to scroll down. I just replaced mine and it was a snap. Just a few Phillips screws and a few tugs. No need to pull the unit completely out as you can access the bulb after it's about half way. No need to disconnect any wiring harness except pulling the bulb out of its socket. I used the 10w (G4 12V) replacement bulb from Home Depot at $6. The light is a bit brighter but there've been no problems with fuses.

1) Turn off power to the unit
2) Open the lower oven door
3) Remove the side trim screws and pull the trims down and out.
4) Remove 2 screws on the sides of the control panel.
5) Open the Microwave door. Remove the 3 screws on the Air Vent Plastic Cover on top of the microwave. You can then remove the Air Vent Cover by pushing the control panel up and pull out slightly at the bottom.
6) Remove the 4 screws on the Air Vent Plastic Cover on top of the lower oven and remove the Air Vent Cover. (You may have to remove the left under side bracket of the Microwave door temporarily just for the Air Vent Cover to clear the screw of the bracket. Re-secure the side bracket of the Microwave door panel as the front panel may fall)
7) Remove the 2 screws which held the Microwave unit in place behind the Air Vent Cover on step 6.
8) Wiggle the Microwave unit out about half way to expose the light bulb unit on top center
9) Wiring to the Control Panel will prevent you from pulling the Microwave unit out any further. And you don't want to do that as the unit may fall. Space is cramped, but working carefully with pliers you should be able to release the springs which held down the light bulb unit and change the bulb.

The oven light stopped working so i replaced it but it still does not work although the oven works, I have tried opening and shutting the door a few times but this does not work either

I would first of all try another bulb, if that does not work, then could be a faulty door switch, or bad contacts in bulb holder.
If you can access it, then disconnect the 2 wires going to the door switch and join them together, this will prove if the door switch is faulty, or if there is some other fault.

Hotpoint oven thermostat replaced again a few months ago now oven working but thermostat bulb not. Can this be replaced and how ? Thanks

Depending on which thermostat you are talking about , the main oven thermostat is complete with with sensing bulb, so is replaced as a complete unit.
The other stats, including over heating stat, and cooling fan stat do not have a sensing bulb, they are a bi-metal device, and can be replaced individually.

Can you explain how to replace the light bulb in my amana oven?the model number AARG7303WW

This worked like a charm ... actually it's easier than you might think. Just a few screws and a few tugs. Give it a shot.. I found a 10W (G4 style ... you'll see the difference when you get to the store) replacement bulb at Home Depot for $6:

Space is cramped, but working carefully with your fingers or pliers you should be able to release the springs which held down the light bulb unit and change the bulb.

Neff 1861 oven fan stopped working

Fitting new bulb would not cause fan to stop working.
If it is getting hot, then there is something wrong with fan, try spinning fan by hand, it should be free, and continue to spin under it's own momentum.
Hope this helps.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
