2 days ago, a narrow black horizontal line appeared in the middle of the screen.

Otherwise, we have never had any problems with it. It has always been moved upright, but it hasn't been moved for over a year.

check if the lines appear on different inputs or source like hdmi,av,pc, if it happens on a different source then theres a problem with the lcd screen it needs to be fix.

If you are referring to a horizontal line or bar, you will have to resolder the vertical IC. You may also need to replace the electrolytic capacitors that are almost next to the same IC. Now if you have a black vertical bars on the left and to the right side of the screen, you have a horizontal problem. Bad electrolytic capacitors and bad resistors in the horizontal deflection area of the TV board! Thanks for asking and give me a few hands of support!

horizontal lines = horizontal sync off . mitsbishi always seemed to have this problem .. on the older sets I would take the back off and inside deep on the board i would adjust a pot and sync it right .... and never had a recall, maybe your newer model has this too .. this little control,

but its a horizontal sync problem.

Capacitor C2913 (390nF, 250V) on the deflector PCB had lost capacity
Geometric distortion, Pillow, and picture enlarged horizontaly
The problem was a short from GND to pin 11 inside IC301 (TDA8350Q). This pin is the output of amplifier for geometric correction signal. Replace IC301

Black screen, high pitched squeal
A set that has only a 1/2 inch bright line through the middle of the picture, from left to right, has a vertical output IC that is not working correctly. If the 1/2 inch line is in the middle but going up and down, then the horizontal yoke circuit has stopped working. These are problems which should be looked at by a qualified tech, but if the set was purchased 6 months ago then it should still be under the manufacturer's warranty.
